All windows and doors replaced
Where do I begin? Well, they didn't measure the dining room window correctly. I walked in after work and it was 8" short. They were going to 'fill it in' at the top. I said no way and for them to re-order. The bathroom window was to be frosted. It came in not frosted. That had to be reordered. When the frosted window arrived, it too was the wrong size. It had to be reordered again. They had to cut away my back stairs to get the back door installed (no, they didn't HAVE to, they just did because they didn't know what they were doing). They I had 6" of ice around the door that winter - on the inside. The glass in the front window cracked. They said it was because the heat from the sun heated up the window and caused it to crack (HA!) That was replaced the second year. Last week I had water pouring into my basement when it was mild and raining. Apparently they didn't install the back door correctly and didn't seal it up underneath so over time the wood rotted and now water (and whatever else) has open access to my basement. I live in Canada for goodness sakes - openings in houses are not a good thing. Since DK Windows & Doors have filed for bankruptcy (no surprise) I now have to get someone else in to take the door out and make the necessary repairs. Geez.
