Centennial Moving

We hired Centennial Moving to relocate from Quebec City to Oakville, from a 3 bedroom apartment. We read many positive reviews about this company and the truth is that the service was the same as described by other customers. At the beginning, we were impressed by the thoroughness of the quotation that the company provided. The professionalism made what could have been a stressful process a joy and hassle free event. We appreciate that this company made our rather tricky move so smooth!

the booking was easy and I appreciated the lead up calls to the day that left me feeling confident that the move was going to be smooth and that my requirements were going to be met.
The movers were courteous, considerate, upfront, organized, friendly and very professional. At the end of the move the movers "high-fived" me and my family and clapped - it was funny! All in all, super friendly movers and high quality service.

This moving company was professional from first contact and throughout the entire process. I could not have asked for a better crew or an easier moving experience, even it was a long distance move. I needed two strong, powerful movers to help us unload two trailers full of furniture and boxes and take them upstairs to a fourth-floor apartment. They did their job perfectly even when the weight of my shipment was much more than initially quoted. It is so rare these days when people do exactly what they say they will do. I would recommend them to anybody needing a few extra hands with moving.

At first we thought we had finally found a company that had good customer service...I asked a lot of questions and they were very patient and answered them all.
What went wrong?
1) I specifically asked if our belongings would be transferred to another truck as the research I had done pointed out that is when breakage occurred. They replied that they would not be transferred.
Well they were and there was quite a bit of breakage...dresser drawer, stand, several irreplaceable pottery dishes, water feature.
2) Delivery Date: We were promised a date between the 4th and the 7th and 48 hours notice of drop off. The very latest was the 7th and so we worked with the earliest date hiring painters and flooring installers and paying a premium for them to work on the stat. It was finally delivered with 24 hrs notice the following week. We were told it was late because the truck's brakes had to be fixed, but when we queried the driver he was very evasive in his answer.
