I had the worst experience as a buyer of a condo in Qwest. They are very bad at communicating with their customers and planning the simplest things.

They only informed me about the unreadiness of the place 1.5 days prior to what they call occupancy date.

Plus the whole pre-delivery inspection was unreal. Their only target is to force you to close and start paying them rent. How can I confirm a closing and start occupancy while :
1.It hasn't been painted
2. The floor is not done
3. The fridge and oven are missing
4. The condo has a temporary door and no lock.
5. Almost all the doors and cabinets need major adjustment
6. There is exposed electricity all over the condo and also in the corridors.
7. The whole building is full of dust and it is still under construction.
8. I'm sure it wasn't even safe for me to inspect the place.
9. And even more

The thing is that I'm now stuck with my boxes and have to pay extra to be able to stay at a place temporarily. With a little but of planning they could've told me about the place's unreadiness 2 weeks(thats all I needed) ahead of time.

The Ashcroft development in which I live has had a construction site directly in front of the homes, which has been there since the beginning (2003). It is an eye sore with muddy ground and a fenced in construction trailer, and apparently no end in site. It depreciates all of the homes in the surrounding area. This is unacceptable. It has also been noticed the sub standard products used to build the houses. How much should one have to pay to get a moderatly nice home? Apparently millions if it were up to Ashcroft.

Ashcroft Homes is offering insane sub par standard options for their condos in order to force customers into paying Ashcroft thousands in upgrades just to make their tiny shoeboxes livable! This is not the first condo I have purchased from Ashcroft but it is definitely going to be the last!

Ashcroft must be crazy if it thinks that its clients are not realizing what it is trying to do. Offering ridiculous standard options to force people to pay for upgrades.

No leg room under the kitchen island as a standard option (Ridiculous! only to force people to upgrade for leg room which obviously everyone wants and have always been a standard)
Standard packages for tiles/flooring that do not match at all (Ridiculous! only to force people to upgrade to switch things that actually make sense)
One drawer under the kitchen sink as a standard (Also ridiculous! In their previous projects this has always been a standard)

What decent builder builds small condo units with no leg room under an island, no drawers in the bathroom, and ridiculous colour choices, only to force their already unhappy customers who are dealing with construction delays, to pay thousands of dollars to make those changes that should were always standard to begin with!

Very disappointed with after-purchase services. It takes FOREVER to get a hold of anyone. The contractors often did not show up on time, or did a lousy job. The after-service department is extremely under-staffed.
