We hired Marcon to redo a bathroom renovation that had been completely messed up by another contractor.
Marcon brought in Roman, of Custom Home Renovation as a sub contractor.
They gave us a fair price and from the beginning they gave the project the time and attention it needed. They brought in qualified trades people who were courteous and polite.
The project was finished on schedule, on budget, and looks great.
Best of all my wife is happy!

Very disappointed. Marcon had designed our kitchen 6 years ago and we were completely delighted. Complete bathroom Reno a year ago; used Roman (Custom Home Renovations) as contractor recommended by Marcon. Love the design; we created a separate powder room and shower area in our single bathroom using glass doors. But the medicine cabinet mirrors do not match (one beveled, one not) and design drawing not to scale so actual powder room sink and cabinet overhangs the entry door - when we called Marcon about these issues we were told once installed could not change - we did not see before the installation so there was no chance for us to catch. We expected Marcon as the designer and supplier to catch these things for us and stand behind their ordering.
Roman's work was a disaster! For example: Shower floor does not drain and pools, and we are now having to take out tiles under window in shower to fix water invasion! Entire implementation was heart-breaking and we ended up asking Roman and team to leave before completing job because of one screw up after another. We expected the Roman as the general contractor to be present and provide oversight but this did not happen and there was a lot of work having to be ripped out and redone. When we offered Marcon a debrief or to have them come to the house to see the work, because they recommended Roman, they did not want to hear about it and in fact while we were at the Marcon shop they were recommending Roman to another client! We are very disappointed and feel like we have to redo work that we felt we paid a lot of money for - over $45K for the Reno. Please contact us and we will be happy to share pictures before you make any commitment to use the Marcon/Roman team.

We spent a couple of months looking into buying materials for our bathroom renovations. It seemed an overwhelming task, until we went to Marcon. Fatima helped us choose everything we needed, within our budget, and patiently continued to provide advice until our bathroom was done. Gino helped us deal with a couple of 'emergencies' on our side that we thought were impossible to resolve. And the delivery driver (I believe Silvio) delivered our items with a smile, even when we changed our mind and he had to make an additional trip (free of charge). I highly recommend Marcon for their pricing, selection, but most of all superb customer service. Thank you!

We worked with Uli on the design and functionality for our kitchen reno. She was friendly and her design insights were exactly what we needed. She was very patient when the plans had to be tweaked a few times to allow for engineering specs and our personal preferences. The installers were very efficient and skilled. The kitchen cabinets were installed almost a year ago. We are still impressed with their appearance and the excellent construction.

We had our Marcon kitchen installed a few years ago, so I can speak from a position of knowing how they stand up over time. Do yourselves a favourite and buy an Ikea kitchen instead. Far less money and a better built product (we installed one at our cottage). We had an issue with Marcon when it was first installed and were very unhappy with management's willingness to make-good.

Absolutely spectacular kitchen! it is not very often you get more than you anticipate in a reno but Marcon really delivered an amazing space for our home. We had seen two other Marcon kitchens so knew they were good but we needed a wall removed and a couple of other contingencies so had interviewed three firms and Marcon was the only one that delivered on all points. Uli's design was perfect on paper and the construction by Roman Iourik of Custom Home Renovations (see separate review) was incredibly professional and the end result is nothing short of breathtaking. Throughout the process we felt all the Marcon people were 100% invested in the success of the project and making our home better. (especially Connie's dedication to getting things done and keeping timelines on track!) We feel like we have a brand new home now.

Uli transformed my small, dysfunctional kitchen. Her design was exceptionally creative, absolutely beautiful and wonderfully functional. Each detail was carefully thought out to enhance the overall design. There isn't a single element that I would change.
Anna did the design for a small, unremarkable bath. By identifying beautiful tiles, fabulous hardware, an elegant vanity and replacing the bath with a great walk in shower, the room was visually expanded and transfomed from an uattractive duckling into an elegant swan.

Marcon is different from other compies because of the exceptional talent of Uli and Anna! These two consummate professionals respect the client's vision, focus on quality, pay attention to the details and respect the client's budget. It was a pleasure to work with them!

Marcon were recommended to us by several friends and we were not disappointed. Uli provided assistance with designing the kitchen and basement cabinets. Anna did bathroom and powder room design and helped with decisions about fixtures, tile and trim. I had planned on getting other quotes but in the end Marcon were the only company who followed through with regard to time and plans. This helped to decrease the level of stress one can feel when undertaking an extensive reno.
Anna and Uli were very professional and took the time to listen to our thoughts and guide us through decisions. We did some research ourselves on appliances, counters and some fixtures and Marcon had no problem with us going with other companies for these things.

Marcon installed the kitchen and basement cabinets and the work was done on time and Nick did a great job of the installation. The only comment I have about our white kitchen cabinets is that the underside of the cabinet is a birch colour (as is the inside of our cabinets) rather than white, and we would have preferred white as it does look a little unmatched, but this is a minor point. Also our appliance garage comes out about 4 inches too far and our coffee maker needs to be pulled around to the side of the cabinet when brewing - again a minor point.
Marcon recommended a contractor (cost not included in the Marcon price) to do the tile, plumbing, electrical, plaster, trim etc work. I had seen Aleksanders excellent tile work at a friends house. His work is meticulous and suggestions about where to place things invaluable.

Overall we are delighted with our renovation, which for the most part took 2 months to complete work wise and 3 months of planning. Marcon made a stressful undertaking easy by providing guidance, professional service and timely installation.

I have dealt with Marcon for many years and was fibbed to by their contractor that went ahead and did illegal wiring in my house after telling me and Marcon he had an electrician on staff. He did not. He was a one man operation and nothing more than a handyman. He was not a tradesman of any kind. Besides other problems, he buried a junction box inside a wall behind tile that will make my insurance useless if I ever have a problem. Marcon is well aware of this problem, but do I not intend to have any further business with this company. Beware of contractors referred by this place.
