Omega Iron And Railings

We hired Omega do install custom interior iron staircase railings and exterior glass railings for a new build. They did it within a reasonable time frame and the final product is exactly what we wanted

Old wrought iron front porch railing had badly rusted hollow upright posts at all corners and could not be saved.
Porch had recently been resurfaced with flagstone, and new concrete steps installed. We sent in some photos of our porch and design preferences. They did a site visit, and gave us a competition quote. Angelo was very knowledgeable, and the install and repair went well.

I cannot recommend Omega Iron & Railings. In my experience which, based on other online reviews, seems be common Omega does not respond after they get your deposit. They were pleasant during the quoting stage. However, as soon as a PO was issued and the deposit paid, the attitude seemed to change.

Omega stopped responding to phone calls and emails. When I was finally able to get someone on the phone, the response was inconsiderate and not helpful. My attempt at escalating the problem initially met with an encouraging response but Omega personnel then failed to meet their own dates for follow-up.

After months of silence, and despite requests for confirmation of the schedule, I was told fabrication was complete and installation would be scheduled in a month. Then . nothing.

Finally, 8 months after placing the order and 3 months after the most recent response again despite repeated attempts to contact them by phone and email I was forced to seek legal assistance. Even then, it took a further 3 months for the fabrication to be verified and the installation completed.

If your time and money is important to you, I recommend you avoid at all costs. Find another contractor even if you have to spend a bit more. Placing an order with Omega will almost certainly leave you frustrated and disappointed.

I paid a deposit back in May and never heard back. They kept promising before getting a deposit that it will take them 6 to 7 weeks to deliver. Weve been way past that and they are not responding properly with any particular date or just refund. Theyve had the worst customer relations. I would rather have my deposit back and go our separate ways if only I could get hold of someone.
