They replaced our shingles,and they did a good job. But their window work is horrible. Poor workmanship, poor customer service. installer came by to look 4 times, but nothing was followed up. fellow that installed our windows was fired for several reasons, but Edmunds didn't call us to follow up on his work. more to this story, not enough space.dont hire them for windows!

I used Edmunds to replace my Roof Shingles and Windows. Both services was completed to my satisfaction. The workers are professional, polite and hard working. They found other problems and resolved them on their own initiative knowing that was the right thing to do. Pricing is reasonable and in the middle range. You get what you pay for. I would reccomend Edmunds to anyone.

We called Edmunds to come and replace our roof. At the time we found our center staircase layout to be dark so we asked them to install a skylight at the same time. They arrived on time and did a good job replacing all the shingles and installing the skylight. We were so pleased we called them back the next year to replace our windows.

I was not at all happy with the communication I had with both the owners. I called this company because they advertised that they have been serving Markham for many years but I would not at all call them again and I do not recommend them at all. The woman owner is only interested in working with you if the job is "big enough". Hmm...so much for servicing Markham. And when I had to follow up with a question from my bill, the man owner responded with what seemed annoyance when he let me know the information could be found right on my bill. Well, for his information, it was covered up where the bill had been stapled, so I didn't appreciate feeling like I was putting him out.

I had my roof done 6 years ago and I had to have some plywood replaced at the same time. They did an excellent job.
In June of 2011 I noticed that the rood gasket around the two air vents had deteriorated. I called Edmunds and within two weeks they were replaced at no cost to me.
Excellent customer follow up and service. They certainly live up to their reputation.
If you want a good contractor then this is the one for you. I recommend them.

They added these frames because windows didn't fit into the window space, it wasn't even close. Tried to force me to think it was part of the 'job'.
caulking job was ugly. not enough foam given so now my daughter's room is freezing cold, had to hire contractors to replace the foam in the windows AGAiN. cost: 1500.

Not the best windows, casement was hard to open. Stuck to the edges all the time and had to climb up on the ladder to scrape it clean. but would stick right after a rain or dew.

I chose Edmunds to replace my windows because their price was reasonable. I was happy with the job they did with the windows on the ground floor although the installers left mud all over my house. I hired them again two years later to replace my second floor windows. Big mistake. They gave me windows that were the wrong size. But they insist it was the correct size. There was a 2-inch gap on each of the 4 sides. They put in wide window frames just to cover the gap and tried to b.s. me about wide frames making my house look more elegant. The wide frames were not even wide enough to reach the old frame marks.

While discussing the type of insulation that was needed to meet the Ecoenergy program Steve found some that was a higher value than required to meet the guidelines with the cost only slightly higher. The job site was cleaned up each day and the finished job has not only improved the look of the house but the upper level of our house is much warmer in the winter.

We got several quotes and Edmund's price was definitely the best! This is a family run business with great customer service and installation! The windows were installed quickly with no mess! We were thrilled with everything and highly recommend Edmunds!

I chose them to replace most of the windows in my home. I selected them because they appeared to be a family business who had been operating locally for many years. I also liked the brand of windows they use (Vinylbilt) and their price was good. However, they did a very poor job.
Firstly they ordered the wrong size for 2 windows so had to come back 1 month later to finish the job.
Secondly they caused a total mess in the house - thanks for the muddy boots on the carpet. The "installer" brought along 2 kids to help him who worked unsupervised. One of them used a handtowel in the bathroom to wipe grout from the wall!
The drywall was damaged around every single window and needed to be patched and repainted (by myself).
And the kicker: one of the windows wasn't level nor square. So it wouldn't even close properly. Although the "installer" did come back to fix it, wrecking the wall and frame some more in the process.
In defence of the company, I guess they can't be blamed completely if the people they hire suck. But I certainly will never use them again and will not recommmend them to anyone.
