I contracted to have Garthside repair my air exchanger. The first service technician said an approx $600 circuit board needed to be replaced. I agreed. A few weeks later a different technician came to change it but found that not to be the issue but that I needed a new air exchanger. I agreed. They installed it and charged me over $2100. I later found out through a friend that I had probably been overcharged. Upon checking other service companies I found that I had been overcharged about $600, apparently to pay for their ordering of the circuit board. Garthside of course denied it, and I am out $600. I am 76 year old senior and I cannot afford this extra charge.
A couple of months later I notice dampness in my bathroom and discover that my furnace fan was not operating properly. I called another company and their technician informed me that the Air Exchanger had not been connected properly. They fixed that issue quickly and properly, but, of course, another expense for me.
