oak staircase to basement, redo spindle and hand rail on upper levels
Prostair removed the builder handrail and spindles and redid them with wrought iron. I also had them remove the standard builder stairs to the basement and replace them with a solid oak staircase with wrought iron spindles.
Daniel and the company were a pleasure to deal with. They were very professional and did a superb job. After the initial quotation, they realized that they would not be able to prefabricate the staircase and install due to a small space to bring them in. With no additional charge, they actually brought all the pieces of the staircase to our basement and constructed them on site. A perfect fit!
The spindes they use are also cast by themselves. they have an authentic hammered finish and are actually drilled right into the handrail and base (not screwed into the surface). This provides a nice finished look and is a great fit.
