The Astoria team compliments each other and works together to see the project through from inception to completion. Jim is a forward thinker and will do his best to prevent a problem. Astoria Homes is a reputable, respectful and trustworthy company that has built long lasting relationships with their trades. Definitely a builder of choice!

I built a custom home with Astoria. I chose them after looking at the quality of their work and speaking to the owners. I was glad I did. You can tell they have long term trades because of the quality of the work. Jim and Lisa are good people and will bend over backwards to make sure as a homeowner you are completely satisfied.

Within months of new home build our driveway started to crumble and break down. Although this was reported immediately to Astoria and on every inspection, they chose not to correct. Instead came up with every excuse in their bag of excuses. Independent experts all point to poor workmanship and product however.

As as a sub trade of Astoria Homes I can without question say that they are among the very best of the best when it comes to custom home building. There are always going to be problems when building in different areas, on different sites and with different people, but Astoria have the experience to see issue's arise and deal with them proactively and in a top quality manor.
Anyone that doesnt give Astoria Homes an exceptional rating is most likely trying to pull something funny.

Recently (Winter 2016/2017) we had major water problems in our backyard that was affecting our house. My husband and I have completed many large renovation projects over our 20+ years in several of our homes as well as full builds with different builders. You could call us very hands on customers that expect a lot. We went to several of our known contractors for estimates and help on our water issue. Astoria Homes stood out as the most knowledgable and genuine in our search. We were optimistic but reserved. Now that the work is done we would like to give a big pat on the back and THANK YOU to Astoria Homes! Never have we had any contractor that was so efficient, on time, hands on and took genuine pride in their work. Every trades person that entered our property were the best of the best, even down to the contractor that put the final grass in. The owner of Astoria (Jim) was constantly at our house checking things over and making sure things were going as planned. When we had to leave unexpectedly for a week Jim would text us pictures of what was happening and check in with us to make sure we like what was going on. He was right on time and right on budget, there were no surprises. We will never use another contractor other than Astoria Homes, thank you Jim! It is so nice to see a Home builder that is genuine, knowledgable and takes so much pride in the jobs he completes. Definitely a rarity!

We are very pleased with the design and quality of our Astoria home. The entire process was detailed to us in an easy to follow binder that listed all stages of the build from initial purchase agreement to annual post move in follow-ups. Many aspects of Astoria built homes exceed normal building standards. The owner, Jim Stinson consulted us personally during several stages of our build. He is passionate, genuine, knowledgeable and very experienced. We felt like he was building our home to the high standards he would build his own home. When there were inevitable hiccups along the way, Jim was attentive to our concerns and quick to remedy them.

Astoria built our custom home in Priddis and we couldn't have been happier. Everything ran on time, and every change was given a great pro/con on cost and value before proceeding. We were thrilled with the Level of Service we received both before, during and after construction. Would highly recommend Astoria to anyone looking at building a custom home.
