Soak Luxury Bath Products

I first saw these units at the home show in Ed. Due to some health concerns I wanted a steam room and these seamed to fit the bill. First looked at a Blue Series 821 but after purchase and then looking at the details, I found out it could not be delivered into my basement. Stairwell was too small. At this point was talked into upgrading to a Contemporary Series SR89105. Was also told it was a better steam unit. On order it stated 60 to 90 days for delivery and arrived in Edm. 110 days later. Also was informed it would take two (2) men 5hrs (a total of 10man hours to assemble and this justified the additional cost of $850 + tax to deliver and install. The two men installed in 2.5 hrs. I also had to have a plumber and Electrician complete the install in order not to void the warranty. I do love the unit as it does preform as advertised. I just feel Soak's business practice is not geared to the customer but rather to sell and forget. Three pages of disclaimers for any delivery and installation problems and extremely high cost of extra year of warranty (10% of total cost).

I've been wanting one of these steam showers for years - I've been in to one of their stores or visited them at a home show at least a dozen times. Each and every time they've been very friendly and patient with the dozens of questions I've asked each time. I finally pulled the trigger and bought my first steam shower from them after researching from several other companies and felt that this place was my best option to purchase from.

Although I ended up getting their "entry" level corner unit, they still honoured a price that was erroneously given to me over a year ago and have been very helpful. Once this bathroom renovation is done I will definitely be using them to get my next.

Cons:
-I was a bit disappointed to find out that they did happen to offer financing but just prefer not to. By this point I had already purchased my unit and was just there to pick it up, if I had known I would have applied in order to get everything all at once for BOTH my bathroom renovations, including vanities, toilets and the bigger steamshower/whirlpool combo.
-although some may consider this a pro, for me I would like to always be offered everything at once, they did not try to upsell me at all (other than to try to get the larger version of the one I purchased but it would not fit in that space) or try to offer me other things, I always had to mention what else I was looking for. Again couple that with the financing and I probably would have bought a lot more from them in one shot rather than me coming back later and doing renovations one room at a time like I'm currently doing.
