This is may worst customer service experience ever.
We hired Gravenhurst Plumbing, Heating and Electrical to inspect the furnaces and air conditioners in a home we were purchasing. After closing on the purchase we also hired them to service the equipment and to perform all the repairs they had recommended in the inspection report.
In addition we purchased a "Heat Protection Plan that was supposed to cover any further service that was needed for a year. The total bill for this inspection, the repairs and the protection plan was over 1100.
Within a short time of being serviced, one of the furnaces began leaking water because the condensation drain was not connected, which caused damage to the walls and carpet in our basement. I was able to do some of the cleanup myself but the carpet had to be replaced at a cost of about $2300.
While they did send a (different) technician back to repair the drain problem with the furnace, they accepted no responsibility for the damage it had caused. They were slow to respond to our complaints, and to add insult to injury they sent an invoice for the additional service call which should have been covered under the Heat Protection Plan
I made multiple attempts to contact the company to attempt to resolve the issue, including contacting one of the owners of the company. They were slow to respond...on multiple occasions taking weeks to respond. In the end they responded with a "statement" from their original technician effectively saying the drain "was connected and not leaking" when serviced and "may have come loose due to vibration" They credited the bill for the extra service call, which should never have been billed in the first place, but accepted no further responsibility.
In my experience this company did not stand behind the work or their technicians or accept responsibility for their work. I would not recommend them to anyone.
