I cannot say enough about Derek and his team. We put in an onground pool this summer and needed a deck around it. Derek came highly recommended from our pool installer. Once contacted, he quickly came to the house to assess the backyard and provided us with drawings. He would always give us his honest opinion and advice, which we appreciated. During the build, he was professional and reliable and always kept us in the loop about what was going on. Once finished, he delivered a deck that was better than I could have imagined! His work speaks for itself. He has such attention to detail and you can tell he takes pride in his work. I cannot recommend DAT Construction enough. We cannot wait to enjoy our new deck next summer!

I can't say enough good things, Derek and his team did an amazing job. The quality of the deck is first rate, even mitered corners and they did it quickly, in and out in 2.5 days. We were really happy with the privacy screen. We gave Derek a photo from the internet of what we wanted and he not only built it but added some other touches that made it even better. They even hung some swinging hammock chairs for us. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a high quality deck at a fair price who doesn't want any hassles. These guys are pros.

Derek Pallister, of DAT Construction, recently installed a deck extension from our existing deck to incorporate our newly installed on-ground pool. From the very beginning, as he worked with us to lay out a plan and discuss the various alternatives we had for building the deck, Derek was extremely accommodating and helpful with the final design. He offered his own expertise regarding design options and explained clearly the pluses and minuses of certain approaches, including "value for money". With his guidance, we were able to confidently agree on all aspects of the project such as the most appropriate building materials and best design for our needs along with a reasonable timeframe and construction process for the project. Throughout the project work, Derek's approach was always highly professional but also very personally involved with our expectations for a first class result. And a first class result is what we got! Derek at DAT Construction knows his stuff!!! We had an onground pool installed in early May 2016. We hired Derek and his crew to finish it off with a beautifully installed Cedar Deck. We were not disappointed. Derek and his crew were extremely professional. He came highly recommended by our pool contractor. Derek met with us in early January 2016, and had many good ideas.
When he came on site to start the job he made sure to talk to my wife Gwendolyn and I to keep us up to speed on what he and his crew were doing. WOW did were we impressed with every aspect of the deck and of course the professionalism that Derek and his crew displayed!!! We have attached a few pictures of DAT Constructions work.

Derek helped design and build a deck around our on ground pool. He finished off the exposed sides and made a nice finish on the pool filter. They never made a mess, cleaned up after themselves and did an excellent job. Work was done on time.

Derek was nothing but great help in designing and construction. He came on time and his crew was very professional. He added special touches to the project that I would never thought of.I am the envy of the neighborhood. Highly recommended.

We had an onground pool put in 2006, and right from the beginning Derek was willing to help coordinate and project manage the project as the decking was to be put around the onground pool. He gave us time lines for his work to be done and was on time in his estimates. Honesty was a plus, as told us from the beginning he had other projects, as he actually started before the time he orginally estimated. Great work done and professional attitude.
