They recklessly ripped our blue spruce tree in half

We asked them to remove a vine which had overgrown on many trees in ours and our neighbours backyards, including from a beautiful and old blue spruce tree. They came and ripped our beautiful blue spruce in half while one of their workers was still halfway up the tree! He was injured and it could have been way worse! They were clearly in a rush the whole time, they ignored me when I told them to be careful with our tree and they acted dangerously! Hire them at your own risk!

Further, we verbally agreed with them that they would remove all of the vines AND the roots of the vine from all of the trees on mine and my neighbours property. They then sneakily provided my mother a work order stating that they were only removing the vine from a single blue spruce tree and the workers left the vine growing on all of the surrounding trees. When I called them to ask why they only did half of the job, they stated we should look at the work order, which of course did not properly state the work we verbally agreed to. Very sneaky.

Approximate cost of services:
$2,600.00

Company Response

The quote was to remove the vine - not the roots. The quote was provided by request; not sneakily and authorized to proceed with and the crew only completes the work that is recorded on the estimate. The only thing green was the vine, the beautiful Blue Spruce as you put it was 90% dead which is why it snapped in half when they were pulling the vines off and the worker in the tree was not hurt at all. The vines smothered the tree and killed it. Had they been removed as they were growing year after year this would not have been an issue and you would have had a beautiful Blue Spruce tree. Property owners negligence killed the tree.
