Amazing Customer Service!

I wanted to replace a track lighting system in my kitchen and had been searching many websites, but didn't quite know what I was looking for. I had walked by the store many times, and decided to call to see if they could offer any suggestions. I spoke with Jodie at the store for at least 30 minutes and was impressed with her knowledge and willingness to take the time to speak with me. The store has a great selection of lighting options and their customer service is amazing!

Loving My New Light Fixtures!

Purchased my new dining room chandelier, kitchen track lighting and hallway light fixture from Living Lighting on King. Prices are very competitive and they have parking available in the laneway beside the store, (Great for loading the new lights into your car!). I had no clue how to install the lights, so they recommended an electrician named Mario. It took him less than 30 minutes to uninstall / install my light fixtures. Very impressed with Living Lighting on King and Mario. Would recommend!

Lights

They have great bathroom fixtures, fans, chandeliers etc. They often have promotions going on so keep an eye out on their website before you make a purchase. In addition, see if you can get a discount for paying by cash. I am finding that a lot of furniture stores are ready to bargain with shoppers these days.

Lighting

Jodie, her staff and her store are great!

It's a small location but packed with great lights, my wife and I liked a LOT of what was on offer...and we had been to many larger lighting stores that had 10x the assortment that she did, but we found very little to like elsewhere. The store is full, but you can still get a good sense of what each light is like. They can also get things that aren't on display in her store.

Prices are competitive!

Service is great, they really ensure you buy the right kind of lighting for your space, as long as you tell them what you're looking for they're very helpful. E.g. they strongly opposed us buying the (more expensive and more) lights we originally wanted for our new home, and worked with us on a plan for better and cheaper lighting. Once our home was finished, we saw the results: the lights they helped us pick were fantastic, and the lights we had chosen on our own and insisted on getting were just ok.

Go to her store! Trust her judgement! She won't steer you wrong, and you'll get great lighting for a good price.

New home build, bathroom and porch lighting

We have just finished a total home rebuild, and were without and vanity lighting, and the front porch was very dark. I went to alot of stores, and websites - but had a hard time finding anything since big box stores have have hardly any staff to help anymore - and you never know what you're going to get when you order from a website you've never heard of.. When I walked into Living Lighting on King I was greeted by staff, and immensely helped out by the owner and her sense of style and eye for detail. Luckily I had pictures of my rooms on my ipad, and she was able to help me narrow my choices down to what really went well with the house. At the end of the day, I had gorgeous lighting up that looked like it was made for the house! I had a great experience, and I'd definitely go back once I start finishing my basement!

New lighting fixtures for bathroom project

Absolutely amazing service from Living Lighting. The staff's depth of knowledge is wonderful. The showroom is warm and inviting, and they really help you find what you need from the vast inventory. Their projects on the showroom floor are great for inspiration, and the unique home-decor products are also a fun touch. I've been doing business with Living Lighting on King since Ms. Orange took it over, and I must say it's a great experience every time I go in there. I would not hesitate to recommend this store or any of its products to anyone. Jodie and her staff and top-notch, and they will do whatever it takes to find what you're looking for.

Custom lamp shade

I can't remember the first light we bought from this store but we bought our house in the neighbourhood 10 years ago and it's full of their product. Having said that I always found the service to be less than generous and often rather stand offish. In fact this store has lost a very good loyal customer for a very stupid little thing relating to customer service.

Back in December late we took a oil lamp conversion that my grandmother had won for butter making about 100 years ago. When the farm got electricity my grandfather had converted it and it's been in my family ever since. It needed a new lamp shade so we, of course, headed to Living Lighting. After quite a bit of fiddling the custom shape and fabric was decided on and we went home to wait for it's arrival. Several weeks went by without hearing anything so I called only to find out that the order had been lost. Back we went, again, to get the order redone. At this point I was mystified how no one had remembered such a unique lamp, and how no one really thought it appropriate to apologize or offer a discount. The lampshade order was made up again, I asked if it could perhaps, because of the inconvenience, be expedited. That request was met with a blank stare.

Many weeks later I finally got a call that the shade was in and I dropped by to pick it up today. In looking at it I realized that the oil lamp, not being a real electric lamp, lacked attachments for it to sit on top of the bulb. I start to feel a little sick thinking they've screwed it up again. I mention the problem to the woman serving me and get another blank stare and a comment that that is what was ordered. Now, I brought the lamp in, twice, so it's clearly not my mistake if the shade is not correct. She mentions to her co-worker the problem and the co-worker says, oh yeah, it will need a add-on converter to work. I'm left thinking that if my husband had picked it up he wouldn't have known about that and we would have had to go back to the store again,!

She tells me the amount, and it is less than the price marked on the shade, so I comment that I must have gotten a discount for the inconvenience. What inconvenience, I get back, so I mention that the original order was lost and I actually assume I'd get a discount. I had just put $20 down, the adapter was extra, and no discount was being offered. When I went to pay, the amount had decreased so I asked again, and I was told, grudgingly, that I had indeed gotten a discount.

As I got to leave I then get told that the woman serving me had driven "all day" to get my shade, and that "for a $50 shade". I thank her for that selfless act and leave.

The last purchase at Living Lighting has been made.

PS There must be an enormous staff at this store composed of twins and triplets because every time I get someone who has no knowledge of what has gone before but I recognize the face every time. As I said, not generous service at all.

Bought Ceiling Fan

A huge selection of lights and fantastic customer service. No pushy sales tactics here. I asked a bunch of questions and boy did they know what they were talking about (in fact I even learned a few things about ceiling fans). Saw the lamp I bought somewhere else for $80 cheaper here.......Walked out today with a great and inexpensive ceiling fan to replace the 'granny version" I have at home. A bonus, they have a pug named Fritz who is super cute.
