RWH was hired to fix the work of a previous contractor and they did a good job. We then had them do the rest of the house in stages; the outside was done beautifully and then we had the kitchen, TV room and the upstairs done. They were paid as each section was done. The work included insulation, walls, flooring etc and everything was fine until it came to custom built cabinets in the kitchen. We were going to go with IKEA but were told that we would get a much nicer result with custom made cabinets so we agreed. Once installed we noticed that the molding around the kitchen window would have to be smaller on one side than on the other due to their measurement being off. We also noticed that the built in cabinet was done about six inches away from the molding around the door but the other side was done so that there wasn't any room for molding. It was mentioned to Ryan in no uncertain terms that we were not happy with the result. We were not asking for it to be redone but that we work a little closer for the next stage to be done and he agreed. Several weeks later Ryan emailed to inform us that we would see him on April 12-13. He never showed up and he did not bother to call.
On April 22, Ryan emailed to say he was ready to do the next stage and to give him a call to arrange a starting date. From that time on our phone calls and emails have been ignored. On May 29, I visited an open house for the new building housing RWH Construction and was introduced once more "to the guy who will be doing your work" but again there has not been any response to my calls or emails.
On June 4, I called from my cell phone to see what was going on and was told by Ryan that his dad says that they should not do any more work for us but that he will call us on Monday. Monday came and went with no contact so I guess that I should take the hint.
What I cannot understand is why Ryan cannot be up front and tell me that he doesn't want to do the work instead of letting me wait. Now there isn't a contractor available until October and we have already been waiting for this to be completed for over a year.

"Thank you for your feedback, B. As we pride ourselves on quality of work at RWH Construction, we strive to meet the needs and expectations of all our clients. As you noted, we had been contracted to handle sections of your renovations in stages. Handling a larger home renovation project in self-contained stages poses its own unique challenges, both to the homeowner and contractor. While we appreciated being able to work on some of the individual stages of these renovations, we were not available to assist with them all. Clearly there has been a miscommunication as to our availability. I hope you were able to find a contractor that met your needs."
