From Damp to Dry: A Foundation Makeover
We were facing significant issues with our leaky foundation in our 1920s home. The stone basement walls had deteriorating mortar, and the century-old concrete floor was cracking, exposing the dirt beneath and allowing water to seep in. To make matters worse, our exterior basement stairs were starting to collapse. In short, we needed professional help.
Don, Damir, and their fantastic team at Acadian came to the rescue. They dug a trench around the house to coat and seal the foundation, installed weeping tiles and drains to keep the basement dry, parged all the interior walls to cover the old stone walls, removed the old floor, and poured a new concrete slab. They also recast the concrete stairs and installed a new security door for the basement.
Now, we stand in our dry basement, marveling at the transformation and getting ready to tile the room. Thank you, Don and the Acadian team!
