Our entire house had hardwood, stone and tile -- except the living room and a 'sun' room. My wife wanted to have the living room in hardwood and we'd had several quotes from different vendors. We were not satisfied with their estimates or their service proposals (and their base calculations of the area -- which included unacceptably generous provisions for 'wastage'). The backing-and-forthing in emails and phone calls was taking a toll on our enthusiasm.

We met with their Marketing manager at the home show in the Roundup Centre in February. Her low-key charm, professionalism, respect for the customer's mindspace and an absence of the 'hard sell', and a firm assurance on a reasonable price which she quoted right away was the first green signal we'd had in weeks. A phone call on selecting the right colour and hardwood was the next step. A simple process of an advance payment, clear documentation on the Agreement, early understanding of the schedule took barely 3 days. One drawback was the telephone tag which was understandable given the amount of business that must have come up following the home show.
The young hardwood technicians who came over were fantastic in their politeness, their work ethic, their craftsmanship and the respect which they showed the family. They started on time and completed their work earlier than promised. Any clarifications we needed were dealt with by the office with promptness and professionalism.
