Lock outside won't turn

Be aware of the calling charge fee $150. I paid $336 just to fix one lock 'cuz it won't turn outside. They won't tell you about the calling charge fee after the service. I ask them how much does it cost to fix the lock before they do anything else he told me $70 per lock he said $150 included service charge. BUT after the service when he gave me the bill it's $336!!! There is a calling charge $150!!! It's okay if they make u aware of that calling charge when u called them.

Re Key

I was charged $300.00 to re key 2 locks on my business. I thought I would give them a shot cause they were doing a job at the building beside me. The service guy charged me $150.00 to drive across the parking lot. I had another lock company in Spruce Grove do 6 re key's for less than that! I guess that is why they were too busy and after reading the reviews on Lock Surgeon, shame on me! I will let everyone in my peer group know about this experience.

Buyer beware

over seven hundred dollars for a new deadbolt and door knob . Not an emergency installation -price not discussed until after installed. Buyer beware with this company. Customer service was unapproachable and did not care. Even worse than the installation which left door jam cracked and door unable to close properly.

Wrong Keys

Drove in from 50 km to get keys cut, got home and found out keys cut on wrong blank. When I phoned them and reported problem, their reply was bring them back. When asked about the driving time and expense to return keys, reply was not their problem. Deal with these losers at your own risk.

Small Lock work - $270 an hour!!!

Called for a quote to fix a few items and was told it was an hourly rate. When the guy arrived I figured since it was such small jobs (prepping a house to sell it) I figured since I had him there for an hour I would get him to do 5 small jobs (3 I could have done myself) - 2 wobbly door knobs (one the guy said he didnt have the parts so mickey moused it), 2 doors that swung shut so needed a hinge adjustment, and 1 track on a pocket door that needed to be leveled over a bit so it didnt rub when opened. This took him 3 hours and he charged me $812!!! I paid half on site (still an overpayment) and spoke to the office that told me their work as comparable to buying a hamburger at Earls instead of McDonalds? She was rude and unprofessional. Said was a per job/per hour which i was not told but only had it verbally said to me and a witness - not in writing. 3 of the 5 items returned to their previous state - both door knobs became wiggly withon days and one door swung shut again. Rita called demanding remainder if payment - I gave them a few reasonable options to come to a resolution and they would have none of it. Wouldnt work anything out and sent the remaining $400 to collections. DO NOT USE THEM!! I had the 3 items they never fixed by another guy for $150!!

Look at garage door for a window.

Called to have someone come and look at garage door for a window. Wasn't told there was a $125.00 service call. When he got here he open the garage door and closed it. Then he went on his way and said he would call me later. He called in a couple of hours and told me that I would need a new door. Cost $3400.00. Told him no and have been getting letters in the mail for three months saying I owe 131.25. The lady that sent him said he was just around the corner from me. Didn't tell me there was a service call. Bad business.

Re-key and given do not duplicate keys

Paid to have 2 dead bolts and 2 door knob locks re-keyed when we moved into our new home. Technician gave a speech about how their keys were more precise then other key cutters so we got 6 keys made. He gave us do not duplicate keys which I expressed concern about. He stated just to call the # on the key if we had problems and it would be ok. Turns out NO company will cut them after all regardless. Called to complain was told we had to come and get normal keys cut with them which costs 3 times as much and they made the mistake to begin with. I was upset so she said someone would call me back.. still no call. DO NOT use lock surgeons, terrible customer service, high prices, deceit, and nothing but a money racquet is what you'll face. Stay away!
