These guys make no sense to me and I certainly wouldn't be running my business like they do.
Jonothon went to bat for me with my insurance company following hail damage and and Simon was diligent to make sure the renos were specific to my liking. But there are two very small matters that need attention, two full years after the storm and both REFUSE to answer my calls or texts. And the messed up thing is these issues are a few hundred dollars. If they choose to fix it I'll hand over the last cheque I have from my insurance company which is for a substantially higher amount. You don't want to finish the work so you can get paid??? Ummmm....ok.....

As you are well aware, you owe Shaw Renovation & Construction $3,638.20 for the hail damage repair that we have done at your home. We have completed all of the work that your insurance company Wawanesa assessed. The work was done to your satisfaction as you noted above. In addition to the work, you want us to build a lattice fence at the side of your home for FREE, before you will release the final payment to us. You refer to this as a small matter, a few hundred dollars. The fence you want is not a few hundred dollars, more likely $1500. Regardless, I will not build you a new free fence to get paid for work that we have completed.We bargain a contract in good faith and completed your repairs as agreed. Our contract did not include any fencing, for you to extort a free fence from us in order to obtain payment in unacceptable.
