I am employed as the resident maintenance manager at a high rise apartment building in downtown Vancouver. I service 161 suites and I try very hard to keep all of our residents happy. Whenever I encounter a problem with the in-suite appliances I know I can turn to the crew at Handy Appliances Ltd. I trust them explicitly. Anastasia, Jasneet, and Nenita are always accommodating and quick to book service calls. We usually see Roger for repairs these days. He shows up on time in a presentable fashion. He is always efficient and courteous. He repairs all that he can and he gives us great advice with our best interests in mind. I do highly recommend this company.

I purchased new Washer/Dryer recently from Handy appliances and Lawrence and Anastasia served quit well starting from advise what would better fit my requirements up to arranging delivery. I live in apartment building and the scheduling delivery on time and making everybody happy was a challenge which I finally overcome with the great help from Lawrence and Anastasia being extremely effective and organized.

I should have gone with my intuition, which told me "Go with Handy" - I had bought appliances and service from them many many years back. But no, like a fool I went in a hurry onto the Maytag website to look up "who is available" to try to fix my 12 yr old Maytag fridge which had died. Long story short, after three tries and a 550 dollar tab, the machine kept failing and we lost a ton of frozen food. So, I spoke to Lawrence in the salesroom at Handy while I was researching a replacement machine. He mentioned Handy's policy of rebating half the diagnostic fee, which made it a good "bet" to at least see if this machine was in fact redeemable. So I booked a service call through Anastasia. Fast, friendly service. A couple days later Gary arrived, and gave me a real insight into the nature of how and when to make the call to "fix or replace". In fact I realized that the Maytag guy had omitted a couple of critical diagnostic procedures which may well have helped me decide NOT to repair the unit. On Gary's advice, I contacted the Maytag guy who did, in fact, refund most of my costs, since the expensive replacement compressor was under warranty. I then came back to Lawrence at Handy and he helped me figure out some options. I ended up buying a Frigidaire replacement, and included the optional extended warranty, which is very affordable and gives good "peace of mind". The price was better than the same machine at a couple of "big box stores" that I had compared to, plus of course I was entitled to the afore-mentioned credit from my service call with Gary.

All in all, a very good experience with all three of these good people. I think Handy offers good value and service, and they are much more communicative and helpful than the "big guys"!

I will not go elsewhere for my future appliance needs - Handy has it all.

It was very easy to book an appointment online with Handy Appliances. Anastasia followed up with an email and phone call to confirm the details. The technician, Alex, as very helpful and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all my queries, and didn't mind that I watched what he was doing the entire time, while explaining things clearly. It took only an hour. I would recommend Handy appliances for washer/dryer repairs.
