Sidewalk replacement

I hired Jason on the advice of my daughter who had previously had him do some work for her. He dug up the existing sidewalk along the side of our building, re-graded the slope so that water would no longer pond in various place and instead run free off the property.
He and his crew were most pleasant, arrived on time each day and cleaned up after each day's work, taking the old materials away for disposal. The work was done on time, works as it was meant to work and looks great. What an improvement! We plan to use him in the spring for another similar project.

Parging and Tuck point - Repeat Customer

Jason was recommended by a neighbour. The initial job was to parge one wall and to tuck point the brick on my house. His quote was competitive, job site was left very clean and work was completed on time. Excellent workmanship and very professional looking.
It looked so good that I decided to have the remaining walls done as well.
I have recommended him to coworkers and friends.

Have sold house since work completed. Real estate agents commented on the great workmanship of the parging & tucking Jason completed on my house. Best they had seen in long time. Definitely increased my house's value.

Masonry work, retaining wall, repairing cement stairs

Return customer. Had a brick pillar restored a couple of years ago. He ripped out the mess the previous contractor made and did it properly.
Retaining wall far exceeded what I expected. Beautiful workmanship, took the time necessary to assure mortar was set before adding layers, finish was excellent!!!
Stairs look like new. Repaired, refinished
Jobsite left tidy.
Can't say enough about Jason and his co-worker. First rate workmanship. Old school philosophy.
You get what you pay for.

Rebuild Basement Stairs and Surrounding Walls

I couldn't be happier with the major repair that Jason did for me. I was recommended to Jason by a designer friend who has high standards. Jason does one job at a time and while I had to wait a few weeks for him to be free it was absolutely worth it. When Jason is on your job that is what he is giving his full attention. My job was very difficult. Poor workmanship and years of water damage had ruined the exterior stairs as well as the walls on either side - including a foundation wall. Jason told me exactly what he was going to do, gave a detailed quote that held, sent regular pictures of the progress, left the job site spotless every day and was a pleasure to deal with. He takes great pride in his work and so does thorough, thoughtful and detailed work. Jason's expertise has made a great improvement to my home and I am glad of it.

Tuckpointing

The previous owners of my house had "repaired" some cracks in the brickwork by patching over the top of the crack with mortar that absolutely didn't match the colour of the existing stuff. As such, it wasn't a great repair job and looked terrible at the same time.

I phoned Jason on the recommendation of an acquaintance and asked him to grind out the old mortar, including the badly patched stuff, and tuckpoint it all properly.

He was able to schedule the job pretty quickly and turned up on time. He was very friendly throughout, got the job done in only a few hours, and left the place tidy when he had finished. The house now looks significantly better as he colour matched the new mortar to the existing mortar, and ensured that the new mortar was uniformly applied throughout.

I would not hesitate to recommend Jason the Mason to anyone who needs tuckpointing done.

Basement Floor Leveling, Side Walkway Replacement

From start to finish Jason does the job as promised. We have used Jason for projects before and his pride of workmanship and skill will keep us coming back. Our basement was a large project and one we had high exceptions for. The results exceeded those expectations and Jason's knowledge made the project run smoothly. Jason has something hard to find in a contractor, a commitment to what he is doing.

Redo concrete porch and steps

We hired Jason to rebuild a concrete porch with several steps. He was paid upon completion of the job. Four months later, the steps and many areas of the porch became pitted and discoloured. We notified Jason of this fact. He came on two occasions to see the evidence and to provide a solution. After three years from completion of his work, he still has not remedied the problem. Also, he mixed his concrete by hand in a bucket instead of using a cement mixer. He is incapable of handling large jobs and we would never recommend him to anyone because of his lack of service and the poor quality of his work.

Repointing Brick Work

After waiting for many contractors to show or provide an estimate, it was great to have someone who was earnest and actually said he enjoyed doing the work. Work was meticulous and the team cleaned up every day and even the neighbour's area. Jason said he was expensive but I didn't think so considering the quality of his and his colleagues' work. Came in each day at 8 am and finished work by 4 pm, then spent the next hour cleaning up for almost two weeks. My house looks great now. Thanks Jason and crew.

tuck pointing and building of stone fence

Jason the Mason's work ethics are 10+. Reliable, amazing workmanship, and punctual. He tuck pointed my Victorian home and build a brick fence around the front yard using bits and pieces of left over stone. A true masterpiece. Thank you Jason. Your future clients are lucky to be able to employ you.
