We had this work done last summer. We were very impressed with the team of workers and the amount of equipment that arrived on site. The boss , Mr Longo took charge and pitched right in to get the job done. They are very good at their profession and we are very pleased with the results. They kept us informed of any delays due weather or supplies and were very congenial to deal with.

A neighbour of mine called me this week asking about my experience with York Huron Paving after having our driveway paved last summer. She had just had an appointment with Angelo where she explained that he really took the time to explain the work to be done and provided her with a very reasonable estimate compared to other quotes received (which was very similar to our experience). The only thing making her second guess we're some of the reviews she had read online. I cannot imagine this company receiving any negative reviews. The reviews here do not match up to our experience. Angelo was a pleasure to work with, he provided us with a quotation that we were very happy with, the company arrived on schedule and were very efficient and clean. Angelo stands by his work, we did not have to pay until the job was completed which we were more than satisfied with. Our driveway still looks great after the winter season and we have received several compliments from neighbours. I highly recommend York Huron Paving to anyone looking for professional work from fair and honest people.

Door to door guy gives my wife a card at the door early last year since he is paving the neighbors. Deal was originally $1100. My neighbors complained once I told them the deal - they raised my price to 1600 - AFTER they ripped up my driveway and "ran away" Also they said it was for main driveway part - not the boulevard part.
They were supposed to come back in 30-60 days. 4 months later and a TON of ignored calls this company calls saying we will be there in a day or so - my wife was pregnant and about to give birth - a real problem! We started this process in March...finally got paved later in August at the end of summer! Very poor customer service. We got it done and he would not come to pickup check for payment...for like another month! I had to meet him near where I work, after which he counted the money and gave me a bunch of conditions and that I could not use this receipt for tax purposes...wow. He mentioed a guarantee for a year.
Anyways we were still happy it got done and kids are save on it.
So this spring I see bumps appearing on my boulevard portion of the driveway. Plants are coming through! I thought this was graded and sanded/gravel but perhaps not? All the same I have called twice and heard nothing back. More than disappointed. I never really do bad reviews but this company and Angelo have no integrity in my eyes and are non-responsive. I would not recommend them.

We called York Huron Paving. They didn't call us. At first Angelo seemed honest and trustworthy. We agreed on a price in late June. Angelo promised to have the paving done before Labour Day weekend. The crew came and removed the old asphalt within days. The middle of August I called Angelo and he promised to be on time. I called every week again until the end of September. Angelo always had the same answer. "We're very busy with big jobs". The leaves were falling by the time York Huron showed up to pave. They got the driveway next door with a reference from me too. Angelo promised 3 inches of asphalt. As it turned out he meant 3 inches till they rolled it and tamped it. 1 1/2" to 2" is more accurate.
The following spring I noticed a large crack in the asphalt. I called and Angelo said someone would be out to inspect it. No one came. I called and e-mailed every week or two. By the time my year warranty was up Angelo was still saying "we have lots of big jobs right now". He then changed the story to "wait till we are doing repairs". Like his buisness has a month or two set aside each year to fix poor workmanship.
It's now almost a year since I first called and my driveway has cracked open in several places. Some cracks all the way from side to side.
Angelo stopped replying to my e-mails.
Out of a possible 10 I give York Huron a 4. If someone could learn how to deal with customers after they got paid as well as before the work started that number could increase.
I would recommend NOT to use York Huron Paving. They get your cash then disappear.

Yorkhuron did a pretty decent job on the technical challenge of installing a paved driveway. Everything drains properly, and from that perspective, they did a good job. However - the devil is in the details.

I was told 8-10 weeks for them to come back and do the tarmac (after they ripped up my existing driveway and left gravel). A verbal contract should stand as well as anything written down. That 8-10 weeks ended up being 23 weeks (despite calls with dismissive answers like "we'll be in your neighbourhood next week") - to the point where the paving was completed in 8°C weather - not impossible for the driveway to cure, but not the ideal conditions that were available months prior.

I was given less than 12 hours notice that they were coming, and like many busy people, I'm not checking calls/voicemail at 8:30 PM. They were in my driveway using a gas-powered leaf-blower at 7:30AM. That's what I woke up to.

Coffee cups were left on the ground, on my deck. The "perfect/tidy" matching line I was promised where my patio stones sit (which they dislodged during excavation) was simply paved over. Seeing that it took 13 extra weeks for them to do a job they were already scheduled to do, I highly doubt I'll ever have them back to fix anything. Happy to have a driveway, rather displeased with the lack of care. I'm Giving them 1 star simply because they completed the job. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Terrible job and service. Excavated filled and paved the same day. Can't park in certain areas if it rains as big puddles form. Would not fix it or stand behind the job.

York Huron Paving asked me what I wanted things to look like, made some additional suggestions that would make the project look better and took care of the rest. I have since had landscape contractors ask me to pass on York Huron's number as they were impressed with the work.
If you want to deal with a company that knows what they're doing, has a no-nonsense approach to doing it and stands behind their work I recommend york huron.

We had seen/met with several paving/interlocking companies--Angelo was the only one who spent so much time with us working out exactly what things would look like/cost and some suggestions/ideas re: curb appeal. Other companies would only do paving but not interlocking or vice versa and just wanted the job as they were in the neighbourhood--Angelo conveyed to us that he really does know what he is talking about when it comes to the driveway/interlocking. Our driveway/walkway was widened and definantly more appealing then before--the money we spent was well worth it. We have had several positive comments and several of our neighbours have hired him for similar jobs on their driveways/walkways/stone walls and stone steps. From what we could see these all looked great too! The workers were on time and did excellent work.
