Woodstuff 2000

Alain, the owner of woodstuff 2000, is very good early on at putting you at ease and convincing you how how reliable he is...DON'T believe it. He started off great, but very quickly the quality of this work reduced dramatically, he needed advances or he couldn't do the work, and then took off and has not finished the job. I have never written a review on these sites before, but wanted to do it to ensure others don't get taken like we did!

Allain and his team did a wonderful job renovating the front entrance of my home. My original plan was to replace the enclosed entrance following the same design as what was already there. However, Allain had a different vision. He suggested a large open porch spanning almost the entire width of the house to make the house seem bigger and give it more curb appeal. I had complete faith in his creative genius and the result has been amazing! Dozens of people in the neighbourhood have commented on how beautiful the porch looks, some just stop and point while others drive by slowly and stare. One man said the porch alone has probably increased the value of my house by $30,000! I'll defintely be calling Woodstuff 2000 for all my future renovations.

Designer, craftsman, landscaper, professional, reliable, gentleman, and a pleasure to work with! Alain did 3 separate projects on our old Victorian downtown house. The first entailed replacing totally a front porch and surrounding garden fence. The second was to replace and rebuild a 3rd floor deck off the main bedroom. The third was to re-design a back garden. All areas involved designing, building, landscaping, lighting and working with a variety of materials besides wood. Alain is a master carpenter with wonderful aesthetic sensibilities, the ability to find innovative solutions, and the patience to see a job through to the perfect end despite the challenges along the way.

I bought my first home and had Woodstuff2000 come to my home to give me an estimate of what it would cost to put in a new kitchen. I was very impressed with his knowledge and that he went out of his way to do what I wanted. He questioned some of my design ideas and opened my eyes to other possibilites and some of the problems with my original ideas. It has been 2 years and I still get many compliments on my kitchen and I still pass on the phone number for Woodstuff2000 to anyone looking for a Great Company. I just wish I had more renovations to do as I was totally impressed with the workmanship and cleanliness of the workers. Excellent work.
