Packing and moving services

The packing and moving went very well. Initially we had an issue with the cost of the packing that was due to a misunderstanding between us and the office. This issue has now been resolved to our mutual satisfaction and I now unreservedly recommend Tender Touch for packing and moving services.

Approximate cost of services:
$2,500.00

Packing and moving services

The actual packing and moving went well. However for the packing I was quoted, over the telephone, not in writing, $90/h with no mention of a minimum even though I emphasized that the packing would be mostly confined to books and pictures; most but not all of the other packing would be done by us. Moving day came and, as normal, the mover-in-charge presented me with the bill - it came to a little more than expected but as we were pleased with how the move had gone I paid without any argument. One week later I got a phone call from the Tender Touch office implying that the mover-in-charge was incompetent and they were going to charge my credit card an extra $392.27. The office insists that they quoted me $139/h with a 5 hour minimum. I have since found the note of the quote that I made at the time. I wrote down $90/h and no mention of a minimum. Like everyone else I often make mistakes but I fail to see how I could have interpreted 139 as 90!
