Tafcon

Tafcon was contracted to install my Geothermal system in July 2010 and promised to have the job done in ten days and took a deposit. They even signed a clause the price would decrease by $200 for every day they were late beyond ten days. The system was finally finished in January 2011 after huge hassle, many calls and the threat of a lawsuit. After taking my deposit they told me they used the money for some other purpose else and Next Energy (the equipment distributor) was not releasing the system required for my install. I then paid Next Energy directly to have the equipment released so it could be installed. I have huge electricity bills now and cant reach Tafcon, They may even be out of business, so there goes my ten year warranty. They also didn't pay the subcontractors who did the excavation for the piping, who have been calling me about this, The guys who worked for Tafcon were honest and diligent people, but the owner (Rick) and his son-in-law Parry (the salesman who sold me this nightmare) are completely unreliable, untrustworthy. It may be a good thing they are out of business, saving any other trusting clients a nightmare experience.

My geothermal system was installed in January 2007. During the install my Driveway was damaged by Tafcon. I missed my rebates($9,000) as they never told me about it properly. There is absolutely no after sales service concept at Tafcon as they never answer their calls. Recently I learned that my garage wall is about to fall as they destroyed my wheeping tile system during excavating and put just the dirt back instead of filling it properly.

Totally unplesant experience. Company is very unethical and unprofessional. Once once downpayment was recieved it was impossible tocontact them. never returned calls. Only way i could get any service was to appeal to the furnace manufacturer. Final report that I needed for rebate was forged!!!!
