We had a new roof and attic insulation done by Jerry at Smart Roofing. This job included new plywood on the whole house. The installers showed up every day on time at 8am sharp and worked till 6 every night for 8 days as it was a difficult large pitch roof. They cleaned up every night and did a super job including a small flat roof at the front.

If you are here, you don't need to look anywhere else. We called a dozen roofers, had eight calls returned and eight showed up. One wouldn't go up on the roof and the rest did. We picked Smart Roofing for a number of reasons. Jerry inspected the roof thoroughly, was straight and to the point, explained clearly everything that would be done and the job was done to perfection exactly they way he said right down to the last detail. He estimated everything based on what he could see and he was careful to make sure that he checked everything to ensure accuracy in his estimate. The contract went over by only $500 as there was some hidden rot and extra material to remove that Jerry had no way of knowing. Extra charges were explained clearly in the estimate and verbally before signing, which were very reasonable. In the end the final price was lower than most of the other estimates and the quality of workmanship and materials were top notch. The job started during the week he promised, even with some rainy days beforehand. It was about two weeks after signing and took two days to complete a combination hipped roof with flat roof extensions, total horizontal area approx. 1350 sq. ft. Everything went smooth, workers were quiet and worked hard all day long, and, at the end of the day, cleaned up and took away the container on the street. Jerry is honest and he will only do what needs to be done unless you ask for more. As I said, he is straight and to the point and he won't take you to the cleaners. You know where your going and when the job will be done with Jerry and Smart Roofing. There is no need to look elsewhere.

The longevity of your roof is very dependent on the condition of your attic. I now own a “SMART” roof and attic.

Unfortunately I will not live the 50 years to find out if Certainteed shingles are non-prorated. :)
