Our old roof was approximately 15 years old. We developed a leak in both our dining room and living room. It turns out that it has been leaking for approximately 2 years which means we only got 13 years out of our old roof! I watched Smart Roofing remove the old shingles. There was only some cheap black tar paper under the 1st three feet and was attached by VERY few nails. The shingles were attached by 3 nails each at the most! There were 4 vents. I did a lot of research into various companies and had 3 come out. Smart Roofing was the only one who showed a great deal of concern in the leak both on the phone and in person. Jerry came out the very next business day. He realized the seriousness of the roof leak and how bad the shingles had deteriorated in such a short time. In less than a week after phoning Smart Roofing we now have a beautiful brand new roof with an amazing warranty. We can't say enough about the courtesy, quality and professionalism of the crew. They obviously take a great deal of pride in their work. They didn't just clean up at the end of the job, they constantly cleaned up during the job. There wasn't a piece of paper left after they had finished. The day after the job was completed, Jerry came out and inspected it to make sure it was perfect. I mentioned the four vents earlier. Smart Roofing installed 6 perfectly colour coordinated vents. As far as nailing the shingles down, Smart Roofing used at least 5 nails per shingle. They installed 6 feet of ice, and water guard from the eves trough up and then covered the rest of the roof in a felt underlayment. Its no wonder they have won awards for their work. So, for a rating out of 5, I would give them a 10. Thank you Smart Roofing.

My neighbour recommend this company for fixing my old roof ever since they worked on his house and hasn't experienced a problem. All the workers are very friendly, and really are professionals since its been a while now and I have no problems with my roof anymore. They fixed all my prior problems for a good price and made great recommendations for me to avoid future problems as well. I would recommend this roofing company to everyone based on quality service!

Through Home Stars, we found Smart Roofing when we needed a new roof recently. It was good advice. Jerry and Mario did an excellent job, exactly as they promised. A year or two later when we thought we had a roof leak we called them to check. They came quickly and investigated carefully. It turned out not to be a roof problem after all but we were most impressed by their quick and helpful response and assistance. We would certainly recommend this company to anyone with roofing needs.

Smart Roofing did some work on our the roofing, eaves and insulation in our house last fall. They did a good job doing some minor repairs on our roof and eaves and topped up the insulation. Bob was very responsive and service was great.

I received wonderful service from both installation crews who were meticulous in the quality of their work. The clean up after both roofs were done was second to none. Special mention for Bob and Darrah, who took care of me. Thank you.

Hired them to redo our eavestrough which resulted in massive flooding in our basement and extensive damage. After a week of phone calls and promises I could not even get them to come back and correct their work.

UPDATE

At the time of writing the review, the problem had not been addressed. We just received an email from the Bob the salesman stating that they would sue us for our negative review and have asked to update so I will. The installer finally came back to address the problem. This after one no show, and the second time he came he was 7 hours late. They were not polite, brought the wrong colour extension pipe and drove away without even giving us the opportunity to check it out. Pretty abysmal service - particularly considering that the workers were given a nice tip on their first day of install.

I should also point out that I did speak with the owner one day after I was not hearing back from the salesmen, who insisted the problem was with our foundation. Since the extension have been installed back on we have had 3 MAJOR rainfalls without any water problem in our basement. Had the extensions been installed in the first place we would not have had this problem.

They were not by any means the cheapest quote I got for my project, but they made sure the job was done to my satisfaction. They answered my every question, took pictures and inspected their sub contractor's work thoroughly.

Came as soon as possible. Nice clean job. Very Professional including the disposal driver. Very satisfied with the work and the crew. Will be using this company to do our eavestroughs in near future.
