Hired them to redo our eavestrough which resulted in massive flooding in our basement and extensive damage. After a week of phone calls and promises I could not even get them to come back and correct their work. UPDATE At the time of writing the review, the problem had not been addressed. We just received an email from the Bob the salesman stating that they would sue us for our negative review and have asked to update so I will. The installer finally came back to address the problem. This after one no show, and the second time he came he was 7 hours late. They were not polite, brought the wrong colour extension pipe and drove away without even giving us the opportunity to check it out. Pretty abysmal service - particularly considering that the workers were given a nice tip on their first day of install. I should also point out that I did speak with the owner one day after I was not hearing back from the salesmen, who insisted the problem was with our foundation. Since the extension have been installed back on we have had 3 MAJOR rainfalls without any water problem in our basement. Had the extensions been installed in the first place we would not have had this problem.

- Company Response
In response : Smart Roofing Inc. has a different perspective of the events that occurred with this client. The week of calls indicated was actually a matter of 4 days including a Sunday and then the installer would be on site to make the then requested changes.
Smart Roofing Inc. would like to specify that the homeowner as he had requested was home at the time of installation so that he could give final approval for all his particular requests upon install. When all installation had been completed to his satisfaction he was so happy with the work that he gave a large tip to the installer.
Due to the age of a 120 year old home the problem is not with the eavestroughing if water is coming into the basement it is with the foundation. We are glad that extending the downspouts at no charge was able to help them in the short term, however, we would recommend that the foundation issues be addressed in the near future.
In regards to the e-mail about the review, we simply asked for an accurate portrayal of the events that had occured.
