Heater started leaking from drain valve. Got a few quotes... Dave came in on short notice Friday afternoon. He was very friendly and informative. Price was competitive... arranged for install for Monday afternoon... Marty and Nigel were also friendly and did a very professional (and clean) install... would definitely recommend

David the sales rep, Luce (Looch?) and Kevin the installers, and Matt the duct cleaner were all professional and courteous. The service was as fast and as scheduled. There were a few ductwork hitches with the furnace install but they handled it. The finished installation is meets my expectations. The duct cleaning seemed very thorough. This wasn't the cheapest option, but I'm satisfied, and pleased to deal with a local company with a long history of service in Hamilton.

A technician was able to come to my home the next day. I was given a time range from between 1-4:00, and that is when Jamie, the technician, arrived. He could not have been nicer or more pleasant. He explained everything he was doing in simple terms and worked efficiently. He explained the pricing system and was able to give me a clearly written explanation of the work and his findings. I would use this company again and refer them to others.

Our old hot water heater stopped working and we couldn't get a part for it, so we decided to replace the whole unit, since it was old and we also wanted to get out from under the thumb of Reliance Home Comfort! Katy was so understanding and helpful to provide a quote and then quickly proceed with scheduling an appt once we decided to give them our business. Marty and Nigel showed up earlier than expected (even phoning ahead to make sure it was OK to come earlier) and completed the removal of the old tank and installing new tank within two hours! They put down drop cloths to keep my carpets clean. They were very professional and pleasant to deal with, answering my questions about the new water tank. The best part: they are dropping off the old water tank at Reliance's office on my behalf!! An added service that really made choosing them such a no-brainer. I'm thinking that when we need to replace our furnace, we will be calling Shipton's for that too!

Patrick completed our furnace maintenance appt. He was courteous, professional, and efficient. He did a thorough job and answered any questions we had. We would request him again. Thank you!

We had our furnace and A/C serviced yesterday, and based on Jamie F.'s visit, I'm glad we called Shipton's. Jamie was extremely thorough, knowledgeable and polite. He was careful, and patient (didn't mind explaining everything), and he arrived on time. I've already recommended him to a friend.

Nigel, Marty, Luciano and Kevin were all professional. They took time to answer my questions and were knowledgeable about the install. They left the site spotless. Katie provided my with all the information to make an informed choice of both company and product.
My suggestion to make the customer experience better is proactive contact by the production scheduler to confirm date and advise of arrival time. Perhaps a flyer could be provided upon contract signing that deals with FAQs. I called mid day the the day before to confirm and ask when the installers would arrive. Overall a very positive experience. I wouldn't hesitate to refer Shipton's to family and friends.

We purchased a service plan last fall that included maintenance on our furnace and air conditioner. Prior to turning on the air conditioner a couple of weeks ago, we had Shiptons service technician out to fulfill their commitment with the air conditioner. The service technician spent a good hour or so preparing and cleaning the unit. He advised that the unit was good to go but we would need a new capacitor as he felt there was not enough power to the unit. We agreed and had it replaced a couple of days later by a different technician. After replacing the capacitor the technician told us that all is good and we could start using the air conditioner. A couple of weeks ago when the weather was at its hottest, we turned the air conditioner on to find that no cold air was circulating.
We immediately called Shiptons and they sent the same technician out to troubleshoot. This time he took all of about 5 minutes to determine that the compressor was dead and we needed a new air conditioner. As most customer do, we got several quotes immediately and had the air conditioner replaced within 2 days. Installed and once turned on the new AC was having the same problem. The first thing the technician did was he went to the hydro panel box in the basement and noticed that the AC was running on 110V and he changed it over to 220V. He fixed the issue in less than 30 seconds. Long story short, the technician told us that we did not need a new AC and was wondering why Shiptons technician didn't troubleshoot.
I proceeded to call Shiptons and left a VM to discuss a refund of at least the capacitor with no call back. Called them back last Monday and spoke to ..... after explaining to her the above story, she said that she would have someone call me the next day! It is now June 4/16, still no call or reimbursement!!! This tells me that they know they were wrong and now are trying to cover up!! Really terrible customer service.

I found Jamie F. to be polite & very professional on this service call. He examined the condo's aging unit inside & out, & verbally explained his written findings upon completion of his visit.

When he left, I felt I was in very capable hands regarding my heating/cooling system & Shipton's staff.

Scott and the whole crew of Shipton installers were honest, on time did everything they said they would do...every time! There cared for our home when removing and installing all of the equipment. It was a tricky job and took extra time and materials and they did not charge extra.
