Furniture bolts

I had been looking everywhere for a specific furniture bolt. I had gone to several specialty stores and even Lee Valley but to no avail. As a last resort I went to Rona and voila! They had the bolts that we needed, it was a surprise and a relief that I didn't have to order online:)

Leaking Faucet

Drip-drip-Drip... the faucet was leaking and driving me crazy as I sat in the living room. Not knowing how to fix a faucet and being completely handyman-less I drove to the nearest Rona seeking for help.
The service man there took apart one of the display faucets and taught me how to install one little rubber ring- the starter of all my leaky troubles.
For 5 dollars I bought the rubber ring and learned more about my faucet than I ever knew existed!

paint

We have such white walls throughout our home. We have been living here for over seven years and decided it's time for an update and some warmth in the home. We decided to head to Rona's on East 12th Ave in Vancouver.

We are please with the services the selection of paint to choose from and of course the knowledgeable staff to help. A few times we almost picked up incorrect paint but the staff alwayed asked a few questions before mixing the paint. That made us think that we didn't know what we were doing.

So thanks to the great customer service at Rona's our home is starting to look beautiful and inviting.

Bathroom renovation

The first contractor left his assistant to do the tiling and soldering. The bottom of the tub, under the taps he soldered, was melted. The tiling on the floor was crooked. Rona inspected the work when we asked. These contractors were fired. The second contractor redid the floor but left black burn marks on the toilet when he used a power cutter tool to cut the bolts on the bottom of the toilet. Sloppy work all around. No pride in workmanship. No customer satisfaction.

siding for our new house

We were deciding on wheather to use siding or stucco for our new house. Harvey from the Rona Installation Centre was very knowledgeable about the building process & spent the time to answer all my questions including sound proofing the house.

Kitchen Renovations

When my family decided to renovate a kitchen in a small condo that we purchased for our son, we turned to RONA. After some market research we discovered that RONA had the product that we liked. The cabinatery looked nice and it also was affordable. The installation was done by my husband. The kitchen planning was made easy as the staff assisted us well. The order and the execution of replacing the old kitchen did not go smoothly, but we received great service with any issue that has come up and all got corrected as soon as RONA could have the supplier do it. There was nothing wrong with the service RONA had provided. My husband and my son found the staff very capable.

Purchase Brad Nailer / Compressor

This is a very big store with lots of inventory available. Good pricing for do-it-yourselfers and contractors. Great with the returns if you by the wrong item. Great staff. Very knowledgeable on their products.

entire bathroom

Don't be fooled, the only reason they got 5 stars for price is because they ended up selling (what they did charge) at price cost, and sometimes even a discount on top of that or just plain free (labour). This was such a disaster. It took from Oct 2005 till Jan 2005 and after that we hired someone else to finish it. Everything they did was so awful, they had to rip out all the new stuff and do it again (jet tub unlevel, tiles all crooked, sink plug installed backwards, wrong parts installed kickboard and tiles, or damaged parts (i.e. tool burn marks in bottom of tub). Because they installed our tile around the tub and left a 1/2inch gap between tile and tub, we are constantly having problems with it cracking and not holding properly. Even after we thought it was all over, we had to ASK them for our bill THREE TIMES!! what a joke.
