Ron's Tree Care

Ron removed a great deal of dead wood from our very large back yard tree. Our back yard had no access except through the house which scared a number of other companies off. Ron and his crew did not put a scratch on the walls or floor and they cleaned the place up beautifully. We will certainly be having him back as the tree ages.

In the heavy rain that caused flooding early in July our small redbud tree (20’) in the front yard was pounded by rain and over watered, causing branches to weigh down, bend and break or not bounce back up. The wind storm that hit less than two weeks later did further damage. Tree damage across the city and province has arborists and tree care folks very busy. After reading a lot of reviews on Homestars, and having used other arborists with previous properties, Ron was the fourth business I called and the first one who answered his phone and returned a call.
Our job was relatively small but Ron discussed it over the phone and quoted high, which I was okay with given we needed the work done. He showed up exactly when agreed, charged less than half of what I expected and gave advice on continued care of the tree and a second tree in the backyard that we have been trying to figure out (it’s our first summer in the house). We found Ron personable, to the point and very fair. The tree bounced back within hours of him doing the work and it’s a relief to see it healthy again. He completely cleaned up the area after he was done.
If we need tree care again we’ll definitely call Ron and recommend him to others.

Ron provided the clearest advice out of 3 other quotes (and a long term plan to manage the decaying tree) - and he also had the best price. He even gave good advice on other trees on neighbours' lots for future consideration. We're very happy with the value. Good clean-up after too!

I found Ron to be very knowledgable about tree care and various legal requirements around tree care in Toronto. He had some useful and sensible suggestions regarding the tree in question which was at my back property line. The work was performed on a timely basis and cleaned up properly afterwards. I hired Ron when he was doing a major pruning of a tree in my next-door neighbor's back yard, including a portion of an unstable branch that was hanging over my garage. Pricing seemed somewhat high at the time but, as I discovered, was good value because of Ron's experience and knowledge. My neighbor on the other side had someone less expensive look after their trees and it was a butchered job.

Ron definitely showed the experience of 37 plus years in this business with his expertise as to how to prune back our large tree while preserving it's natural balance. The job was done in less than 24hrs of first calling him. He made sure we were happy with the results. Definitely would recommend his services.

Ron came the same day we asked for an estimate. Another firm on this site still hasn't come and Ron has already finished the job.

Before looking at our trees Ron noticed that our neighbours' large maple was in overall bad shape and dead branches were hanging over our driveway. Our neighbours had called the city for an inspection but no had come. He called the city immediately and told us to call as well and register our concern. A city inspector came the next morning, declared the tree a hazard, and an efficient city crew arrived the next morning to take it down. All this was due to Ron's initiative.

He did a great job trimming our trees and he is very sensitive to their needs. Cleanup was excellent.

Ron is very knowledgeable, skilled and friendly. He also gives lots of tips about caring for trees. We would definitely use Ron in the future.

We had Ron and his staff take care of an overgrown tree that was in my mother in law's yard while she was away on vacation. Ron was approachable and professional at all times. While he was over, he even did some minor trim work on some of the other bushes and plants free of charge! My mother in law's yard looked great, and she was estatic when she came back and saw the work he had done! I wouldn't hesitate to call Ron back for another job.
