Poor Equipmemt

Their equipment does not functional in the cold winter, my alarm will not stop beeping, and it beeps middle of the night!I have to pay the penalty to cancel it, I have to pay for technician to come to check, and they cannot guarantee when technician will come, so i have to keep hear the beep unless i pay $975

Security alarm

Absolutely poor customer service. Will pay rest on my contract and will change this is company. No any service in Kelowna,BC. Asked technician help since November no any response only promises.
No recommend.

Basically a schcam

Please stay as far away from this company as possible,
Alarms go off in the middle of the night without being set
Have to replace batteries in the thermostat every couple of days,
Have been told a tech will call in 24-48 hours for 3 straight weeks.
PLEASE USE ANOTHER COMPANY!!!!!!!
And yes customer response I have tried to contact support about the issue!!!

terrible customer service

Poor customer service. Visits canceled without notice. Promise reimbursements but then "forgetting" about it. Charged TWICE for canceling service even though I called to confirm contract was over. Company clearly only interested in your money, not in provide good service. Would advise to stay away.

ADT-Protectron

I have been with protectron for almost 10 years, when it was anytime the alarm would go off more than a few seconds, there would be a call not long afterwards to confirm everything was ok. Ever since the merger with ADT, I have had several alarms go off, either forgetting to take the alarm off and opening a door. just last week, I left it rining for a few minutes to see if anything would happen. NADA... I finally turned it off cuz I got annoyed. no call...nothing...I have even had a communication error message on the panel for weeks. When I called to ask them about it a few days later, I told them that I had this message during a few days but now it was gone. I inquired why was I not called about a communication error with my alarm system. they simply told me that they were not aware of it until the customer calls it in...why am I paying you then? if I had been away and there would have been a problem I am certain they would not even call the police. I have received 0 calls for any alarm in the past few months and the system has gone off a few times.... And now, another price hike coming. That's it, I will be out of ADT/Protectron very soon. ADT is horrible, find someone else. the service with protectron was awesome, screw you ADT, I'm out.

Security system

ADT has absolutely zero customer service. They take their automatic withdrawals every month and their system does not work. They say that they monitor our home and yet say that they are not aware of ever having sent someone to repair it - a repair which lasted about 1 month. Unbelievable.

Security Service

I have been paying this security alarm company for over 4 years, and when my house got robbed, the alarm did not work! The technician came in that evening and was at my home for 2 hours and he agrees it's not working, and he could not figure out how to get it working. This was earlier this week...my alarm is still not working!!! What's the point of getting security from ADT Protrectron when the system does not work when one's house is broken into and robbed!

To be clear, I engaged the alarm before going to work that morning, the lights were red to indicate that the alarm was engaged, and the technician did confirm the alarm was engaged. By not working I mean that the alarm did not detect someone broke the door down my house, entered my house and robbed it, and the alarm did not alert the monitoring station of this break in, when it is supposed to.

Don't really care about their customers

I've had this service for about 1.3 years now and recently planned to leave the country for good. I signed the contract for 3 years and was told that i had to pay $700 to get out of it. When i got the system activated, i had no additional equipment installed other than a IP camera that i am willing to pay for as the cost of the camera was subsidized over the period of the contract. I understand that this is a one off concern but at the same time shocked at how they don't really care about their customers and would throw a cost of $700 at them. I've had to deal with Rogers and Fido in regards to this and they waived off the cancellation charges. Very disappointed and would never recommend anyone to sign up a contract with them.

Unreliable

Be careful ADT is completely unreliable almost 10 months before I disconnected my phone now found out when I called with alarm incident they told me that they never got my signal since I disconnected my phone they told me that it was my responsibility to test the alarm system if it works it is in contract they keep on charging me for a year when actually they were not even providing me any services where there are other companies charge less than half but they let you know as soon they loose signal. so please careful if you are not testing may be you are paying for no service too.
