Open Sesame

Steve came out and took a look at my garage door, which sometimes closed and sometimes didn't, screeched horribly while closing, and occasionally jammed. He did a wonderful job, taking his time, troubleshooting along the way -- sensors needed re-positioning and realigning, track needed re-positioning, bolt on backwards, wrong bolts, and backward brackets!!!!!! (clearly a handyman job). Door works great now. Couldn't be happier.

I accidentally locked the my garage door from opening. i called open sesame and they did everything they could to help me open it and save me the $$$ of a service call. Ultimately i had them come out and they were great. professional, on time and friendly (and a good price....i called around)

I called Open Sesame because our garage door kept popping back up when it neared the bottom. I looked at the rail and it was warped, causing the door to go back up when it hit the dent. I called Open Sesame on a Monday morning and they were at my house by noon that day and had replaced the vertical rail that was warped. They were efficient and very reasonably priced. They were great to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

When the leading garage door company cancelled our contract because they "just couldn't make it fit", we called another company off Homestars. That company said they'd have to custom cut our door at a cost of over $2000 because of the odd shape of our badly built garage. Then we called Open Sesame. We were told "no problem" from the beginning. We didn't pay until the job was done, and it was done on time and absolutely perfectly. Perfect service, perfect job- one of the best overall service experiences I've ever had. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Amazing work, amazing person. No hesitation - this is the guy you want to install your garage door opener... extremely professional, kind, personable, funny, great conversationalist and honest. He didn't have the model we wanted, so for the same price gave us a higher model. Have had no issues and we've recommended him to everyone we know.

During holiday season, the tension spring of my garage door was broken, found Steve's contact @homestars, made an appointment, Steve and his colleague arrived the next day on time.

They fixed my garage door in a professional way at a reasonable price, and taught me how to maintain the garage doors.

One week later (right after Christmas), the cable was broken. Steve came over (from Richmond Hill to Oakville) and fixed it without any charges.

Steve and his colleague did an outstanding job installing the garage door openers in my new home. The openers are so quite that we can barely hear anything inside the house. Steve also secured our stairs for us in our garage that was not secured from the builder as he was worried that our kids could fall. Steve does professional installations and he cares about his customers. Thanks Steve.

My garage had a non standard (small) door width that I wanted to expand. Of the 10 or so companies that I called only two were willing to take this job. (Most suggested that I have a carpenter work on the opening first.) Open Sesame was one of the two.

Steve is clearly in demand as his answering machine is always full. Even so, he was able to accommodate my schedule coming once to expand the opening before work was done to my driveway and again later to install the new door and motorized opener. His work is very good quality. I did have a problem with the door due to the slope of the driveway (not Steve's work) that Steve came out and fixed at no charge once the driveway slope was adjusted.

Steve is an honest an easy going guy. Very easy to work with. If you can book him I highly recommend him.
