Northwood delivered!! I bought an old, poorly renovated house that was in desperate need of some proper airflow (3 working heating vents... 1 in the proper spot??) and if it wasn't for Gary Landry and his crew, my family and I would be freezing right now. Northwood came and worked efficiently on a job that to me seemed daunting. From the demo that revealed drywall screwed into already existing ductwork and electrical wiring in places it shouldn't be... to the problem of getting a heating duct in the master bedroom though the beams ran horizontally... NO problem was too big. And as these hiccups arose, the communication between myself and Gary (and the rest of the guys) was great. They really did a beautiful job of making sure the heat would get into every part of my home. For that I am sooo pleased. They also cleaned up after every workday. For that I am very grateful. Nothing was done without my approval.. they were courteous and kind, had a good sense of humour even with the other tradesmen who came into my home to do work. That sort of respect and congeniality makes them exceptional. They finished the work on-time, as scheduled and I missed them when they were gone. I look forward to using them again for duct cleaning... air conditioning. They'll always be welcome in my home. They're highly recommended.

It was the coldest night of the year during the recent cold snap and the furnace went out. After a night of getting by with a space heater in the bedroom and trying to get service from another company we called Northwood and they sent John over who found the problem right away and got us back online with heat. We had a second issue that night with a loose power connection and they came back out again and solved the problem right away. We have now been problem free and are thankful for the prompt and friendly service we received from Northwood and would recommend them to anyone having similar problems.

My furnace called it quits on January 5th. I called other companies and let them know that I had NO heat in my house. By the 8th I still had no heat and no one had returned my call. On my way to work that morning I was behind a Northwood van and wrote down the phone number. I called when I got to work and they came that night to take a look at my problem and by end of day Friday I had a new furnace. Gary and his guys were very professonal,curtios & answered any questions I had. I have and will recommend them to anyone who is in need of heating/air conditioning services. Thanks Guys!

After living in an 90 year old house for the past number of years I'd had enough of the poor heating distribution. The guys at Northwood inspected the house and quickly realized the issue was poorly placed duct work and floor vents. After modifying the duct work and adding several key floor vents, the heating in the house in 100% better. No more walking up the stairs into a cold second floor. The workmanship and ability of Jermiane, Justine, and Art indicated the pride they take in their work. I plan to recommend Northwood to all my neighbours.

I was lucky enough to discover Northwood Heating during a complete basement reno that started this summer. Gary and his team ran all new ducts throughout the basement, as well as several other items.

(they have an awesome dryer filter they installed that eliminates all the lint flying outside onto the lawn...ask about it!)

Today, Jermaine and Mark came to clean the ducts now that the reno is complete. Like their predecessors, they were courteous, punctual and hard working.

I would highly recommend Northwood to anyone looking for solid work at a fair price.

I chose Northwood to install a humidifier in my home because of their excellent reputation. They sent a relatively new employee to do the job on Friday and by Saturday the drain hose had come loose from the humidifier spilling water all over the floor of my furnace room. Luckily I caught the problem early enough avoiding potential water damage to my basement. Since it was Saturday, I was unable to get a hold of anyone at Northwood. There was no emergency/after hours contact number so I left a message explaining the problem and the fact that there was a bit of mess left behind at the time of installation. After that I temporarily reattached the hose.

Monday morning Gary from Northwood returned my call and apologized for the inconvenience. He came by that same day to reattach and secure the hose. He also cleaned up the area thoroughly when he was done and said to call him if there were any problems.

Now we're able to enjoy the benefits of our humidifier. Thanks Gary!

Gary, Brian and their guys are fantastic. When we purchased our new house the attic air conditioning system was not working. We called 3 other companies who all said it could not be serviced. [competitor - ed.] told me the whole system had to be replaced at a cost of $13,000 (the guy who gave the quote did not even go up into the attic to look at it). Gary and Brian came over, found the leak and fixed it for under $1,000. It's been 2 years and it still works great. We later had them come to redo the duct work which had been installed improperly. This was done at a more than reasonable cost on a timely basis and without a mess. It has always been a pleasure dealing with the guys. They will always have my business and I have already recommended them to many of my friends.

After a long search through homestars and the yellow pages. I had the pleasure of having Gary and Brian replace the duct work in my 80 year old house. Gary installed confidence on our first meeting and gave a price that was better then 90% of the other quotes I had received. I had completely gutted the house, so it was important to have the work done on time so as to not delay progress. I was surprised on the first day to see Gary and Brian on my door step with two apprentices. Needless to say with four guys things happened quickly! Watching the install made me notice that these guys want to do the job right while teaching there apprentices. I look forward to having them back in the new year to replace my dated a/c unit. I called Brian and Gary to come inspect my furnace and found out there was a crack in the furnace and it was releasing carbon monoxide into my house. Almost right away they came in and replaced my furnace and put in a humidifier all in less then a day, there work was extremely clean and organized. They also replaced all the duct work in the furnace room, and I gotta say, it looks perfect and the house is nice and warm.

All and all, Brian and Gary did a perfect job, and I highly recommend these guys.
