An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
When we made the decision to change the color on our hardwood floor, we were nervous as we heard lots of stories such as really bad toxic smell and the dust will be really bad. We also wonder if the baseboards will be chipped off with the sanding. We also heard about the bubbling from the coating at our friend's house. All these worries were superficial. NewRidge Refinishing sent Andre & Brian over and they did prep work such as sealing part of the house with plastic and the dust wasn't too bad as the equipment they used suck up most of the dust. Of course, there is dust but it was not bad. They vacuum after the sanding was done. The weather was perfect for the 3 days of staining and coatings so we were very lucky. The whole process was not painful at all and we are very happy about the results. It was exactly how we wanted the floor to be.
