I originally called JCJ Mechanical for a quote. Without asking any questions really other than the age of my furnace, he (I say he because he never told me his name) quoted me $700 and then asked if I was going to pay by cash or cheque. He then tried to upsell me to just outright purchase a new furnace for $2300, this is without ever actually coming to diagnose the problem. I obviously decided not to pay for his service and ended up calling Natural Choice. Gavin listened to what I thought was the problem and then suggested he have someone come look at it so that they could diagnose the problem before giving a quote. The 2 men that came were friendly and after looking at my furnace advised me that we needed a new ignitor. They quoted me $199 plus tax for part and labour which I thought was reasonable. Needless to say, I will not be calling JCJ Mechanical again, however I will definitely recommend Natural Choice Heating and Cooling to my friends and will call them again if I have any further issues with my furnace or AC unit.
