Nanette guided us through the ordeal of choosing new home builder's upgrades, colours and designs. Her advice saved us a lot of money and angst. She is exceptionally talented and an absolute delight to deal with. We will definately retain her to advise us on interior design when our new home is built.

My husband and I made it our new years resolution to turn our new house into our home.

At first, we were hesitant to hire someone using the Internet and solely basing our decision on online testimonials but as soon as Nanette walked through the door smiling we knew we were not going to regret our decision for a second.

She identified our style right to a tee and worked through all aspects of decorating our home. She was very experienced and explained the reasons behind her suggestions.
Which included, blinds, furniture, type of lighting for every room, what to do with our awkward T.V. niche and of course helped us room by room selecting colors. She even took the time to re arrange our living room that made it look bigger right away. She even pointed out that our paintings were too high… Who knew?

She is a confident designer who knows her colors and how they work within the space. Behind every color there was an explanation on how it will make us feel and what kind of effect it has on human nature. Who new that yellow in a future nursery makes babies cry more...I certainly didn’t?
We even picked a color for our exterior door, we didn’t even think about that going into the appointment.

She also provided us some contractors that she woks with and we heard from 2 of them with a quote within a week of our appointment.
We still admire how she tied every little detail together for us and can’t thank her enough for all the help she has given us. We just love her ?!!! Thank you Nanette.

PS: Nanette - Please don’t retire anytime soon because we plan to finish our basement in the next few years.

I purchased a house a few months ago and was struggling to make decisions on new paint colours as well as how best to update the decor. I hired Nanette for a colour consultation and was pleased to discover that she is also a trained design professional - one with skill, elegance, and good taste.

As some of the other reviewers have noted, Nanette takes the time to listen to her clients, to understand their tastes and desires, and to recommend design elements that will suit the clients. Unlike some designers who want to paint everything the same shade of beige and who rigidly adhere to their own personal preferences, Nanette does what a talented designer is supposed to do - she offers design ideas that will appeal to the client's taste and that are well suited to the size and overall style of the house as well as the client's budget.

I didn't agree with all of Nanette's suggestions at first - but when she suggested things that differed from my stated preferences, she made the suggestions ever so gently and tactfully without insulting me. Just because I disagreed with some of the suggestions doesn't mean they weren't good ideas - it just means that I am inexperienced in design myself.

There were two particular suggestions that I didn't agree with at first, but I took the time to consider them, and ultimately I decided to implement Nanette's ideas. These two ideas have turned out beautifully. One idea was to install crown moulding in the living/dining room - these were two very plain rooms which stood in stark contrast to the abundance of colonial trim in the hallways - I just had my contractor install the crown moulding last week, and it is so beautiful that I almost cried the first time I saw it. Another recommendation was to paint the main bathroom a lighter version of the predominant wall tile rather than sticking with my preference for white - I broke free of my white obsession and am happy to report that the new paint colour does a lovely job of toning down the stark contrast between the tile and wall (even my contractor keeps saying how much nicer the room looks now).

Overall, my experience with Nanette was a very positive one, and I look forward to hiring her for design advice on additional projects in the future.

WE engaged Nanique to help us choose flooring.It was a relatively small project, but she had no hesitation in taking it. SHe was wonderful. She took the time to show us lots of choices and colours and explained why she was suggesting certain ones. She followed through with the ordering and helped solve the few hitches we encountered. She is very approachable person and
makes it easy to discuss any ideas with her. All in all, she was wonderful.

Nanique helped me chose colours for 12 rooms in a business settting. Her choices were excellent. She picked colours lively enough for a work environment, but not too overwhelming. She matched the carpets and also recommended accessories. In addition to having excellent ideas, she is very personable.She never rushed me or made me feel she was doing all the decision making. By asking me questions, she drew me into the process and therefore,I felt that I was making the decisions. I would recommend her to friends needing interior design advice.

Nanette has an incredible sense of style that is matched by common sense, practicality, intuitiveness and of course, experience!

Very detail oriented and savvy, Nanette assisted us with tips before our new home was even built on how to best position floors, layout, lighting and of course colour. The colour consult was really a great learning expereince as she shares her expertise and thoughts with you. And her passion absolutely inspires you!

Working with her on the window coverings throughout the house and the selection of customized sofa/loveseat and stunning rug for the Great Room, was another great learning experience. Who would know there was so much to learn about buying furniture??? She listens and takes in all details about your home, your lighting, your needs and your lifestyle and then shares her expertise. She then lets you think it through so that it works for you!

Once Nanette works with you on your selections, the next best part is her network and her efficiency. At her fingertips, she has a vast network of sources to call upon and make it happen! It is a one stop satisfaction experience!

Nanette gave me lots of variety, she wasn't pushy, and she was quick with suggestions. When I wasn't getting back to her right away, she gave me the space and time I needed. She also gave a great recommendation for someone to redo my staircase and another recommendation for painters.

Nanette was bang on with her decisions on colour. Her experience and her eye for design is top-notch. She keeps your price range in mind and doesn't try to push more on you. She is also full of great suggestions.

We were happy with Nanette's product recommendations. She was very attentive and always kept track of what was going on with the project. I've used her on more than one occasion and wouldn't hesitate to use her again. We were very satisfied.
