I came home one night to find the sump pump Mr. Rooter had installed making a constant noise. I was worried something was wrong so I unplugged the unit and immediately called Mr. Rooter. It was very late but the person I spoke to on the phone was very understanding and helpful, and booked the person for the first appointment the next day. I was concerned about getting charged for the service call, but she reassured me there wouldn't be a charge. It turns out the sump pump had shifted and the controller was touching the sides of the tank, so it was jammed on. The technician moved the pump back and assured me it shouldn't happen again. I questioned this since it already happened once. So I'm sceptical, but we'll see. He didn't charge anything which was good (but expected). But he left without saying goodbye. I wasn't sure if he was coming back or not for me to sign something.
