We have all gone through he agony and headache of having to move ourselves but this time we decided to get the help of professional movers. I was pleased and satisfied by the ratings that Moveworks had received on Homestars, so I went forward with booking them for our move on Feb 28, 2009. Cyrus and his crew were very well prepared! As of the moment they came in they were already shrink raping and blanketing all my delicate furniture. They started to pack the truck with boxes so that it would save time and ensure that it would all fit in just one trip. Strongly recommend that you ask for Cyrus and his crew.

I had originally posted under Toronto Disappointed because Moveworks wouldn't pay for damage they caused during our move. Coincidentally after posting my review on HomeStars they finally sent me a cheque. I am now essentially satisfied with things but would have been much happier if they had responded to my numerous phone calls and my letter rather than making me resort to posting a review on the internet. But that tells me that Home Stars reviews work!

This company said that they would insure a "SMART MOVE" and there would be less stress involved in a smart move, that's what the young lady on the phone told me when she contacted me to arrange a free estimate.I can only say this..."SHE WAS RIGHT". No major headaches, questions answered, friendly staff. One cabinet was slightly damaged and I saw when that happened some ice on the drive-way.My move went very well, I would recommend Moveworks to anyone. I did call the office about the cabinet and Ann arranged with me a fair compensation. Thanks very much Moveworks.

Moveworks came on Wednesday February 11 and packed up my home into about 120 boxes. They did everything except the food in the fridge and freezer and the dangerous liquids and chemicals. The packing crew were fast,thorough,and very careful with with all our belongings. On Thursday February 12, the 3 men and 26' straight truck arrived at 9:00 a.m. Sam and his crew put down floor runners and proceeded to load the truck, wrapping the furniture carefully in quilted furniture blankets and shrink wrapping the upholstered furniture and mattresses. By 5:00 p.m. the truck was unloaded into our new home, the beds were all set up and the boxes were in the appropriate rooms. On Friday February 13, the packers came back to help us unpack. They took everything out of the boxes and we put the things away. They removed all the packing materials for us.
I am a writer who works from home so I can be with my 3 young children while my wife works outside the home. In 3 days our home was packed moved and unpacked, and I was able to work on Sat. February 14. Thanks to Moveworks, Sam and his crew for making this as easy and as smooth as possible. I will certainly recommend Moveworks to my friends and family.

My husband and I moved into our very first home on Feb. 25, 2009. We had been waiting 2 and a half years for our townhouse to finally be finished and there was a great deal of stress involved. The offfice staff was very helpful and answered all my questions (and there were many) patiently and thoroughly. Abraham and his crew arrived on time at 11:00 a.m. It was suggested that we start later than 9:00 a.m. because we did not get our key until later in the day. The 3 men were very polite and very careful with all our boxes and furniture. I will be passing their number on to my parents who are moving to Belleville in July. Thank you so much Moveworks.

Moveworks did fine in the up-front part of the job but some damage happened during the move and they failed to honour their guarantee to pay for it. I got absolutely no response from them despite about 8 phone calls and a letter and I am still contemplating taking them to small claims court. This is incredibly short-sighted on their part as the damage was only a few hundred dollars worth but they've lost thousands in potential referrals.

I am so glad I choose MoveWorks Inc. Everything was amazing!! They came on time, very friendly and professional movers. I would use their services again and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a stress free move.

After shopping around several movers, we chose Moveworks. We had an excellent experience. They showed up ontime, price was great well organized,helpful and prepared, and they stuck with their quote. I would use them again and I would recommend them to my friends and family.

I was referred to Moveworks from a friend of the family. The quote they gave me was significantly less than the other mover I had called (Allied Van Lines). Prior to moving day I went to their office and bought boxes for a reasonable price. Moveworks provided a list of tasks to do to prepare for the move, and as I reflect back at the process, following their suggestions made moving day quite easy.

The movers arrived on time. There was a crew of three guys. Two of them were middle aged and quite lean and at first I worried that they might not be physically up to the task. I would learn not to judge a book by its cover.

I wrapped all my fragile items including expensive artwork, china, and glassware (Czech crystal) in the days leading up to the move. I found it amusing in an earlier review that a poster complained about the way the movers wrapped her fine dishware. Packing delicate items should all be done prior to the move by the homeowner.

I was impressed by the way the movers protected the furniture. At the airport I have seen machines that wrap suitcases in saran wrap. They used a similar wrap on my furniture. My parents imported a cherry wood dining set from Hong Kong and I have many other delicate pieces. They prepared the furniture so well that not a single piece was damaged.

After packing the truck, I asked the guys if they would drive to a friend's house and pick up two large industrial design tables. Most movers charge extra for driving to multiple sites but Moveworks did not and the foreman of the crew somehow made the tables fit seamlessly into an already filled truck which astonished my wife and I.

Overall the move cost less than Mr. Thornton quoted and was completed very smoothly. I treated the movers with respect and in return they were very easy to work with. If I had any issue with Moveworks, it was the fact that the head of the moving crew negotiated travel time billing with me at the end of the move. I would recommend that travel time be discussed before hand with Ann Thornton.

Thank you Moveworks. They moved enough furniture to adequately furnish a 3,000 square foot home in one day, under the quoted price ($1125), and with a professionalism rarely seen in this business. I have moved four times and they have been the best. If I could be bold enough to make a recommendation to other homeowners, it would be to start packing one week before the move and be completely organized and prepared prior to moving day.

I talked to Anne and had everything arranged for the move. After seeing the reviews at Homestars I was a little worried still. The movers showed up ahead of schedule and worked hard and were friendly, completing ahead of time and still wanted the full hours that were quoted. A fair compromise in my view since they did a good fast job. Although in a moveworks truck they were not uniformed which led me to be concerned initially, but after the job was progressing well there weren't really any worries. Price was great compared to the competition and the job was done well too, so overall very satisfied with the move.
