I used Modular to add a second floor to our bungalow. The experience was very positive. Modular offered a positive alternative to most other general contractors we spoke to:
1. They are honest and realistic - They do a good job about setting expectations.
2. Patient and no pressure - in our case, we took a long time to make decisions, and they worked with our timeline.
3. They work quickly - They are organized, and make sure the work is done as quickly as realistically.
4. Clean - They do a good job making sure the site is clean and free of clutter where and when possible.
I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Short and sweet!
Thank you very much for pointing all the right things that people are looking for when hiring the contractor for their renovations.
We are doing the best we can to explain to people what can and cannot be expected during the whole process of the renovation. At the first meeting when rough estimate is made we might "kill" a lot of expectations that were based on the wishes, magazine clippings and talk with friends. It is unfortunate but necessary to present the real figures before the project starts. If the client decide to work with our designers and architects, the final quote shouldn't deviate much from the original estimate, since the designer will know what was requested and discussed at the original meeting, hence no surprises when the job starts.
Over twenty years in construction we learned what the clients are looking for and what they do expect from us. It is easy to do the good job when you are appreciated and when you work for good people.
Thank you once again from all of us at Modular.
