The team at Modular Home Additions is nothing less than amazing. When we began our project we were full of nerves and questions, but at every step of the way the company was patient, helpful, polite, and never pressured us at any point. Really, they treated us like family and the final results were stunning.

Our project involved putting a second story on our bungalow in East York. We went over the costs, they provided us with an architect, and they drew up plans for us to approve. We made changes (both ahead of time and on site) and they adapted quickly and positively. We also went with them to do a complete renovation of the main floor of the house and had a similarly great experience. They have another partner in-house, Zoran Kitchens, who worked with them to get the project done.

So, what made them so great? They're a one-stop shop for all your renovation needs. They have their own plumbers, electricians, carpenters, installers, demo team, and an incredible site leader in the form of Dejean who got the WHOLE project done, during the early days of the pandemic, in just under FIVE MONTHS. Seriously! Roof off the house, new materials in, all of it, and we moved back in five months later. That's not something they promised (nor might they be able to do that in the future) but by having all of their services linked and coordinated it's definitely a much faster process. I've heard of nightmare builds that go on for a year or two but you won't find anything like that here.

This company did a great job. We set up the house for internet. Installed a water line to the fridge. Added tons of lights. Painting. Tile installation. Bathroom set up. They gave us a timeline of when to pick out our materials and have them delivered (or else they went and got them!), and you could talk to them about anything and everything on their online system through Basecamp.

As far as price goes, they were not only competitive with other builders but far. There were no hidden costs, no surprises that weren't fully discussed up top, and they were great about making everything transparent. I've heard that they might be slightly more costly than other places, but given that EVERYTHING is in-house, it's more than worth it to have a built-in project management system like this. An added bonus was that after the project was complete, they connected us with another company to maximize the amount we could get back from the government as part of a renovation rebate.

Even now, a year and a bit later, when I ran into an issue NOT related to their work, I sent Dejean a message looking for help and he called me from Cuba where he was on vacation! Totally not necessary, but once a customer and friend, always a customer and friend!

From start to finish, the quality and professionalism of Modular Home Additions has been outstanding. They really want you to be happy with your new home and they go to extreme lengths to make sure it happens. Our family can't recommend them enough!
