On time, on budget, looks great. It was a pleasure working with Tom and his team. My calls were returned, appointments were kept, and I received a thorough explanation of the work done. Tom took some pictures to show me and helped me to see the roof when work was completed. Best of all, it looked like they'd never been there. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend :)

Purchasing a new roof can be a daunting decision especially with so much information available about shingles, warranties, underlays, drip edges etc. When Tom paid a visit, I had quite a few questions and he was able to provide clarity and direction on what I was looking for. I also had additional questions after Tom’s initial visit that he promptly responded to over the phone. He also paid a second visit to show me colour samples.

I brought in a few contractors for quotes and Tom’s product, warranty and advice is what sold me on the job. He’s got a great website and fantastic rating on homestars which also helped seal the deal. He’s also GAF certified which is another key selling feature.

Tom has a good attitude. I feel that he understands what me, you, as a client is looking for and doesn’t try to up-sell or provide unnecessary work. I’m happy with the experience I had. He provided me with a timeframe that he was able to meet and the job came in at the exact price of his quote. Speaking of the quote, out of all the contractors Tom’s price was right in the middle, the sweet spot. I could have gone with a less expensive roof, but I feel you pay for what you get, and like I said, product, experience, warranty, quality and all the above was the reason for my choice.

Tom’s crew impressed me as well. His team was efficient, polite and definitely experienced. They did a good job cleaning up, protecting patio stones and the surrounding areas with tarp. They answered any questions or concerns I had on the day the job was being completed. Kudos to them as well. I decided to go up on my roof after the job was done and all the cuts, edges, flashings, venting were done to a very clean spec. Everything looks to be in order and I feel that the money I invested was well worth it.

MegaCity Roofing re-shingled my roof last fall. I am extremely pleased with their work; in my opinion they are an excellent roofing company. I would definitely recommend them.

Before choosing MegaCity, I learned about re-shingling in general, and then researched 5-6 roofing companies. I researched the products they use -including the product manufacturers- as well as the feedback that these roofing companies received from homeowners that had used their services. I asked my ‘top 3’ roofer-choices to come and give me a quote. While each of them was here preparing their quotes I asked a lot of questions. Some of my questions were loaded (ie, I had a fair idea what the answer should be, and played the ‘dumb blonde’; note - I am a retired engineer who likes to have a good understanding of a job before I make important decisions). I was most impressed with Tom Geo and Megacity Roofing. Tom’s quote wasn’t the cheapest, but his products were/are good, their work comes with a good warranty from a well-established company, he was patient with all my questions, he helped me understand it all, and he didn’t try to B.S. me. Nor did he try to lower the price by telling me I didn’t need something that I knew was important (unlike one of his competitors).

On the day of the job his team got here on-time and went right to work. I was quite impressed with how well they worked together throughout the day; they were a good team. They did my roof -from start to finish- in one day. They cleaned up extremely well too. I did a thorough check for old roofing nails, old shingle pieces, etc. after they left (I have a dog, and I didn’t want to worry that my dog might accidentally step on a nail): I found 4 nails and 2 very small pieces of shingle -- excellent, considering how many old shingles & roofing nails they remove from the roof and then drop to their drop-cloth(es) on the ground.

After the first and second rain I checked inside my attic for any evidence of moisture anywhere in the attic (flashlight and a lot of crawling involved): nothing.
I also wanted to see if I would get any water in my garage during a ‘hard, driving/windy rain’ (I had been getting water in the garage during driving/windy rains prior to this). It was a couple weeks before we got such a rain. When it happened, I noted that I was still getting water in my garage (attic was still fine). It was late in the year, and for several unrelated reasons I didn’t get around to calling Tom until spring. When I called him he agreed to come over without hesitation. While here he/we figured out that the problem was due to an issue with the flashing at the wall (ie, not associated with the shingling job at all). He took care of it (no charge) -even though it wasn’t his problem.

It’s probably obvious, but I am extremely pleased with MegaCity. I would definitely recommend them and would definitely hire them again!!

Tom and his crew were outstanding and provided impeccable workmanship. Everybody was professional, polite and worked together as a team to complete the job. Tom uses superior material (GAF Timberline) which is one of the best products on the market. Everybody did an outstanding job including cleanup and the end result looks amazing. I was so fortunate to have discovered MCR through HomeStars. I had experienced a leak in my roof and after having another roofer 'fix it', the problem just came back. I contacted Tom and right away he was able to fix the leak. Knowing our roof was in serious need of a redo (which Tom confirmed), and after having such great service from Tom, I contacted him again to redo the whole roof. Excellent, excellent, excellent customer service! ! Always calls you back right away, came out within a week to provide an estimate and in no time, came back and replaced my roof. The MCR crew is super fast and efficient and clean-up was excellent! The product they offer is of high quality and Tom provides detailed info on all materials being installed. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a roofer!

We were very pleased with the work done. Tom was very friendly and answered all of my questions. He was the only one of three contractors who quoted that actually went on the roof. Not only did he quote the lowest, his warranty was something no one else offered to us.
His crew was huge and they were in and out the same day by 1:30 pm! Tom even texted me pictures during the complete job since I couldn't be home. It's nice to see that good old-fashioned customer service still exists. The roof looks great and I would recommend them highly!

We had an old shingle roof and BUR flat roof replaced. Multiple layers of shingle, cedar and several layers of existing flat roof were removed at no additional cost, although the amount for disposal was more than would normally be expected. The work was done quickly and efficiently. Tom and his team are friendly and courteous. Tom is extremely responsive and is great at keeping you up to speed on progress. We are very happy with the work which was done for a very good price and would absolutely recommend Mega City to friends and colleagues.
