Stay away from Vandyk Properties
Do not get fooled by their kind or honest words in presentation center. Because there is no honesty. You can say Vandyk stands for opposite of Honest.
Let me explain my case: I have booked a unit in Uptowns, Brampton on September, 2017. It is July 2023; they have not even completed excavation. It seems this builder is in lot of financial trouble. They are having payment issues with contractors. As a result, contractors are not working on the site. It has been going on for years (I think, it is one of their many problems). For now, they provided tentative occupancy date for end of 2024 (When I signed the contract, tentative occupancy date was Dec 2020). By the time I write this review, it has been already 7 years from date of booking. But I do not think they would finish the project on the promised date. Also, I have been visiting the site for past 3 months. No workers and no progress. They dont have any plan to finish the project on time.
I heard that they have been building backyard condos (another project from Vandyk) for ten years. Please do extensive research before purchase anything from this builder.
They have been hiding under Covid related delays for past 3 years. But now everything is back to normal, they are kind of exposed and their problems are coming to light one by one.
