Jules Flooring

I hired Jules Flooring since it was highly recommended by two of my friends. I needed to place hardwood in the entire upper level (4 bedrooms and hall) and remove carpet on stairs to upstairs and to basement. The owner was very helpful and explained everything to me in terms of preparation and time line. He was on time to do the job and accurate about how long it would take. My carpets were removed and care was taken to prepare the subfloors. Then unstained wood was placed. This was followed by staining and varnishing. Everything looks great! Furthermore, the after service was outstanding. When I asked for a few things to be retouched, this was done promptly. I am very happy with the service I received and have booked him to do my office and family room. I would highly recommend Jules Flooring to anyone thinking of getting hardwood floors.

My floors were terrible, very worn down, and older home which had already been sanded once, and probably would have had to be replaced. Jules ensured me that he could just buff them down and varnish them anew; They turned out beautiful, and saved me a bundle on replacing the floors, since the entire house was hardwood. He is a very nice guy, but sometimes hard to get a hold of; to the person who could not reach him, i would suggest trying again, I am sure he would try to make it right for you.

With regret we unfortunately have to give this company a bad review. I say with regret because they came highly recommended, and we saw their potential for great work from our relatives and close friends floors. So regardless of their higher pricing, we hired them, thinking that we were dealing with professionals. What we did not know, was that if, or when a problem may arise, there is absolutely no costumer service. Based on the recommendations of this company we were told that all that our hardwood floors in the living and dining room required a coating of lacquer. Trusting the companies experience and expertise we did as suggested. A week after the completion of the job our floors began to peel. To be specific the lacquer did not stick. Our floors looked awful, and the peeling lacquer became a safety concern for our baby. We tried to contact the company's owner via phone and did not get a positive response. Our only expectation was that he would come in and see the floors and recommend a solution. This did not happen. As a final attempt to we wrote a letter outlining what happened and ask that he respond with possible solutions, or, try and rectify the situation. No response to this as well. The customer service we experienced was less then desirable, it was non-existent. Should the contractor choose to contact us and make an effort to make things right we will be happy to update this post accordingly.

Jules sanded my entire home and stained it over the course of 4 days. My floors were in TERRIBLE condition, when we bought the home the home inspector said we would have to change the entire hardwood throughout the house. Jules said we didnt have to replace them and he made them look like new. The floors are the highlight of the house. he charged us $1200 for a 1300 sq foot home
