Jane Hall Design

I paid $100 for a coverlet in June 2016 and have yet to see the product or the refund in spite of several suggestions regarding delivery options or my numerous requests for a refund. I have done business with Jane since 2002 and have always been pleased with the service and results and guests have always remarked on her artistry and work, but this one is pushing the limits of my patience. I would still recommend her, but just make sure you have the product in hand before handing over the payment.

We were tired of our white/grey walls and ready for change. We had admired a neighbour's vibrant colours and asked for advice. She recommended Jane Hall, who was a great fit for us. Jane used her experience, expertise, and good taste to introduce personality and depth into our space. On her recommendations we repainted the whole house. It now looks fabulous. We also brought custom-made blinds and curtains through her workrooms. Love them too. Custom lamp-shades still to come, as well as assistance with buying rugs and furniture. Jane has a wonderful eye for colour. She is extremely talented and can put together a room for you with her wide array of fabrics and paint colours!! A true genius.

This amount represents an amount spent over a 15-year span. I've been working with Jane Hall since 2002 when we first opened Globetrotters Bed & Breakfast in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada. Her work spoke to me from the moment I walked into her Toronto store and I've since acquired many of her original hand-painted chairs, beautifully crafted bed covers and pillows and very creative window coverings. All I had to do is give her an idea of the "theme" I want for each room and she comes through with flying colours (no pun intended). Our guests love it all and continuously compliment us on our our B&B's unique decor and flair. Jane is also a professional shopper and knows where to purchase quality items at bargain prices and goes to great lengths to negotiate the best prices on labour, which means we get a "rich" look without the prohibitive cost. She knows my preferences and presents a variety of colour combinations to determine what really speaks to both of us (I have a husband who likes to think he has input) and keep the peace. She is my co-conspirator when it comes to interior design and I always find her creativity an inspiration. She's bright, intelligent, energetic, a great conversationalist and, yes, a bit eccentric, but she is just plain fun to be around if you're willing to enjoy the ride into her imagination and creative concepts.

I moved to California. Jane selected fabrics for LR furniture to be recovered to match new location and selected paint colors for all rooms. She helped me with floor plans - all based on photos and diagrams. She has an amazing eye for color and can pick fabrics to match your existing decor. She also did all window coverings for my home when I returned to Toronto and took me rug shopping. I purchased 3 new rugs with her advice.

Over a year ago I consulted Jane over paint colours. She picked some bold colors. Well I finally got brave enough to try some of her suggestions. To my surprise the colors on the wall added a lot and I love the new look!

Jane Hall was extremely good in all aspects of the interior design of our home. She picked our paint colours, took us to Home Depot, helped select the best furniture and was fun to work with. Her slightly eccentric ways made it a joy to work with her and she helped us with appreciating all the lumps and bumps in our old house.

A complete disaster. Would never recommend or refer ANYONE. Didn't get the order right and waited months for delivery of the wrong prduct. She collected my money in advance to pay carpet people. Not someone I'd ever trust with my home or decorating again.

Our home was recently decorated by the talented interior designer and artist, Jane Hall.Her flare for and knowledge of color selection created a spendid palatte of warm, rich colors throughout our home. Over a few weeks she helped us to transform our home into an elegant, stylish, beautiful environment, with wonderful choices for window treatments, linens, kitchenware, pillows, lamps, all the special decorator touches we needed.Her knowledge of furniture and art placement is outstanding, and she is a gifted designer/artist whose work added so much beauty to our home. We would highly reccommend her for any residential design enhancement, from paint color selection to furniture to accessories, she covers it all with total professionalism and timeliness.

For our first appointment she did not show up. For our second appointment she called at the last minute to change date. At our third appointment, I was quoted two hundred dollars an hour at the Home Show and it lasted 1h 10 minutes. I was charged for two hours and charged for her travel time, would have been nice to know ahead of time. Her service was poor, poor, poor.
