IBX Services was hired to clean my carpets. I arranged a time for them to come by on a Saturday between 1 and 2 pm and also made it very clear that I had my father's 65th birthday party to attend at 3:30 so the early the better. I suggested to book for another day but the rep taking my booking assured me that it would be no later than 2pm and the cleaning would be no more than 1hr.
On Saturday I cleared all the carpeted rooms and moved all the furniture out, ready for cleaning. After no one arrive at 2pm, I called dispatch and they said they would be there within 20 mins. 1 hour later (3pm) i called again and the same dispatch girl told me that they were just in an accident on the 401 and couldn't make it. After telling the girl they wasted my time and didn't have the decency to contact me regarding any delays or cancelation (not to mention rearranging my house for them) she said she'd contact them again to see what she could do. She returned to say that they could be there within 1/2 hour. It then became apparent that they were not telling me the truth about just getting into an accident on the 401. As anyone knows, accidents will take at least 1.5 hours of your time, especially a HWY accident. After basically admitting they just made up the accident story, she laughed and said there's nothing they could do.
Completely unprofessional. I would never, ever hire or recommend this company. I'm surprised they are still in business.
