Moving from condo to town house (distance 550m)
Quote over the phone was $1200. They sent evaluator - it then went to a bit more - approximately 1500$. When the move was completed - $1780. They will include weird charges in there - I packed my Queen mattress on my own - they charged me for the plastic which was mine. There's also valuation charge, lol $210 - I knew about it earlier, but then again... lol.. They scraped my washer in condo - I noticed it later. When they were leaving, one of the tree branches got stuck in the truck's middle door - they left me to clean the street out of leaves - and they have seen it as two workers were outside the truck when that happened. I had to pay also for their two additional breaks excluding their lunch break. They also charge when they leave their facility until they get back to their facility - I was aware of that, too, but they charged me for at least half an hour more than they should. Anyway, I would stay away. I complained, but they are pretty much have their stand and that's it. Prepare to pay for the service that they did not provide.

In response to your comments above, when we give a quote over the phone it is only an idea of the cost that is the reason that we visit to give you a more accurate cost. The cost we gave you after visiting the home was for a 2 day move as there was to be pick-up at your residence and then also you had a self-storage unit. You decided to have us move only from the residence which your estimated cost then would be 8 hours instead of 16 hours and the Valuation would be less. Your move took 7.75 hours.
Estimate was for $1829.47 based on the 1 day move. 2 day move was $3338.02
All costs were on the original estimate you recieved including the Valuation, Mattress/Sofa/Chair covers and Fuel/Admin charge. The mattress cover which was used (not for you bed as you had this) for the cushion in your home. I have refunded you for this cost. As a Goodwill we refunded you also half hour on the move.
All Moving companies charge from when the truck leaves the office and returns this is also on the estimate.
