Hoerner Heating & Plumbing

Our nine year old Rinnai tankless hot water heater had been blaring like a jet engine for years. We tried flushing it once a year with vinegar hoping against hope that it would fix the problem. It never did. We called Tracey at Hoerner Plumbing and she had Derek and Cameron out to see what they could do. Years ago, we’d had another outfit look at it, but they could do nothing for us, so I was sceptical. So I was astounded that Derek was able to have it purring like a kitten within the hour. Kudos to Hoerner Plumbing!

9-yr-old ductless unit broke. Hoerner came out quickly & assessed the problem. One of the parts needed was obsolete despite the unit being less than 10 yrs old, and the company (LG) was not helpful! Hoerner went above and beyond to pick up and install a new unit (not LG!)

I essentially paid $150 to be told that I should replace two high-priced faucets that were leaking. As requested, I sent photos and specs ahead of time. The plumber and his helper hadn't seen either. The plumber did tighten the kitchen faucet and fix the right handle in place. Apart from that, I was told repeatedly that faucets were too old and needed replacing. Crew went to check the basement bathroom faucet. Ten minutes later, crew said the faucet could not be repaired. So, surprise, it too needed to be replaced. Quote to remove and install new faucet: a whopping $399. From the first call to the visit, I sensed up-sell was the unspoken order of the day. Won't be using this firm again.

Had a small leak in the bathroom sink - Horner was able to arrange a technician very quickly. Excellent communication with the main office, technician was very friendly and did a great job on the repair. Price is slightly high but the quality of work and service is equally high, so value is reasonable.

Called Hoerner about a blocked basement floor drain. The guys showed up in less than an hour. Very courteous, very professional, very competent. Diagnosed what a former home owner had done to the drain, fixed it, and gave advice about how to maintain the drain. Paid only the "house call" fee. Perfect.

We couldn't turn the handle on the only shower we have in the house. Seems like a smaller plumbing problem but then we couldn't turn the water off! I called Hoerner and they were here within half an hour and out in about the same amount of time. They had the part they needed with them and were quick, clean, polite and made it easy for me to pay them and leave for the appointment I had booked. I will definitely be calling again with my next plumbing job.

We have an older dual flush that we love. The mechanism on top of the tank had to be replaced. They tracked one down in Italy and said it would be $300. They could se I was hesitant. They went through the numbers and said if the new part didn’t work they would deduct the $300 from a new toilet.

The part arrived. Zahir, nicest plumber in the world came to install it. The toilet should last another 15 years he said.

We had a leaking pipe serving the outdoor tap at the front of the house. Claire arrived on time, was incredibly professional and polite. She identified the problem, provided a clear estimate and updates throughout the fix as other issues were identified. I would highly recommend Hoerner and Claire

We had a simple job of replacing an old valve on a radiator. The quote was very reasonable compared to a competitor quote I received at the same time.
The guys were in and out as they had committed and did a great job.
The valve is on the second floor so of course they have to drain the rads for the top of the house. After filling the rads a bleeder valve was left open. We didn't notice until about 5 hours after the job when water was dripping through out kitchen.
We called them up and they came over right away. They drained the water in the ceiling and coordinated for a drywall and painter to come. The damaged area is as good as new.
I am really impressed by the way they owned the problem, resolved it quickly and didn't cut corners.
