Replacement of Furnace, AC Unit, Humidifier

A friend of mine had dealt with High Life to get his furnace and AC unit replaced, and they did a decent job (not fantastic, but okay considering the discounted price compared to everybody else he quoted). In fact, this same friend also knew of a colleague that had used High Life and was satisfied with them. I took a chance and called High Life and made an appointment to have a sales representative come over. The sales person called the day of and told me he was going to be late, then after the revised appointment time, he told me that he was going to have to cancel, so we re-booked for the following Saturday. Saturday morning, I received a call and was told by the salesperson that he had to cancel again because his car was broken and the shop had not returned it. I should have called it quits with High Life at that time, but only because my friend's installation was okay, did I continue to deal with these guys. I finally got a quotation from the salesperson the following week, but he didn't seem to be very knowledgeable because I was pointing out things to the salesperson that needed to be included in the quotation. We settled on a price which was about $500 cheaper than the other companies that I quoted. I signed a contract and the work began a couple weeks later on the agreed day and time. However, in the middle of the day, one person from the two person install team left for about 4+ hours in the middle of the day. The other person who appeared more junior remained and it took the team over 12 hours to finish the work (my friend's install took about 8 hours). When I ran the furnace, the drainage tubes leaked all over my floor. It took two return trips to have this corrected. In the summer, my AC wasn't cold and there was condensation on the duct work which dripped down on top of the furnace. After 3 service calls, the technician determined that the coil had to be replaced. I can't say whether the bad coil was due to a defective product or defective installation techniques, but it seemed pretty suspicious after my other shoddy installation work. The top of the furnace was all scratched during installation of the duct work and they used excessive amounts of aluminum tape to try and stop air leaks (with little success). Just recently, I recently came to notice that the wires to the humidifier are hanging down, not connected to anything. No wonder the humifier has not been working and the house is so dry. While High Life has been accomodating and sent out service personnel up until now at no charge, I really just don't want to deal with them, and it has been an inconvenience to me to have to be home for these service calls. I personally have lost all confidence in their abilities, skill, and knowledge - the project has been one major frustration. I've attached pictures because "pictures are worth a thousand words".

Approximate cost of services:
$8,000.00
