We moved our washing machine and a dryer to the basement and contracted Mark Powney from Handyman Connections to do the job. We found him very polite, knowledgeable and well organized. We feel very confident with the work he completed. It is very accurate and clean. He was very helpful explaining what has to be done and why and showed his professionalism throughout the entire work. We are very happy with the work done and would definitely recommend Mark to all our friends. Thanks for being such a great handyman!!!!

I arrived home to find they had neatly removed and bagged the destructive ivy that was penetrating my window screens and roof shingles.
It was a real pleasure doing business with them, and I would definitely use them again, should the need arise.

Our bathroom had not been touched in about 20 years and the vanity was disgusting. Jon and his helper came and did a wonderful job. The before and after was amazing. They came on time and went right to work every day. The whole job took only about two and a half days. The were very professional and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. The handyman came and installed the medicine cabinet. However, he made a mistake. By measuring wrong the screws that held in the wood to hold the cabinet were visible. The plan was to have the edge of the cabinet cover the screw heads. The screw heads were plastered over but, of course, it is still very visible. It's annoying because I now have the cost of painting the wall which was unanticipated an unnecessary if the job was done properly. Also, I have a newborn so I am not painting any time soon.

Mistakes happen.

However, the owner of this franchise knew of this issue and did not proactively reach out to me to make it right. I called almost a week later and at that point he offered 25 "Handyman Bucks" not dollars. 6.25% of the cost of the job. He thought it was generous, I did not.

All in all, a disappointment.

After reading a previous review about Mark doing a good job installing an exhaust fan in the washroom, I decided to call Handyman since I have the same need. Mark came and planned out the best way to connect the vent hose to the outside. Then on installation day, we went to the hardware store to purchase everything that we need including renting a drill to bore a hole through the brick wall. Mark is thorough and meticulous in his work. The final result turns out very well. I would definitely recommend Handyman to all my friends.

We called Handyman Connection after receiving their ad in the mail and they sent Don to give the estimate and to do the job. We needed someone to help us finish a room in our unfinished basement, from new studs to drywall to electrical work to window box construction. We could not have been happier with Don's disposition, work ethic and quality of work. His attention to detail is inspiring and he clearly enjoys his job. The experience was very positive - from the first phone call to Handyman Connection to Peter completing the job. He stripped the old caulking an mold from the shower and re-caulked. The same job would have taken me hours. I will call them again.

Mark Powney did a great job. He was very helpful and patiently answered all my questions without being condescending like some contractors I've encountered. He even cleaned up the work area.
